Default New setup A&A supercharger

Well a couple months ago I did heads, cam and made 586 rwhp. I was happy with it, but started to crave more power later on...So I decided to get an A&A supercharger kit T-trim 4 inch pulley from Andy. I sold the FAST intake and NW throttle body and put back the stock intake and throttle body on. I took the 2 hour drive to Victoria and have Patrick G. tune the car on a mustang dyno Monday night. I only took a pic of the the numbers before the meth. The last run with meth was on setting 2, didn't think I need it that much cause my IAT's was already low, and it was pretty late at night I was tired and didn't ask him for the numbers , just waiting now for him to email me the final numbers and graph. Car runs real good and happy with the numbers. Awesome tune from Patrick G.

All installation work done by me

I'm considering doing the same to mine, but really worried about the stock bottom end on that type of setup...

I did those similar mods in reverse order and am at the same numbers, I can tell you this, if you plan on running the car at the strip don't put any kind of traction on the car if your still running the stock clutch........it won't last, not really gonna last either way but traction will kill it. I got 2 passes on my NT05's (not DR) the first time out and 3 weeks following I went back to the track when I got some NT05R's I couldn't even make a full pass without slip, even let the smoke out half way down the track on the second pass....... Time for some upgrades down below!! Have fun with her, she's a whole new animal now

7 psi on the bottom end isn't that concerning.....It's the close to 750 rwhp that is way more of a concern

This thing is a beast,I've been on it a couple of times. So I guess I'm already pushing the limits of the stock short block. I've been thinking about getting a smaller pulley and going for 800.

So a blown ls3 holds together better than a blown ls7? Guessing cause thicker walls and all that junk?

Yes and yes. Ls7's are not good blower motors at all. Thin walls and poor heat transfer then the short piston skirts. The block I would run is the Ls2 block sleeved to do a 427ci still. The awesome way to go is the DART blocks but to stay aluminum it is crazy expensive so you have to go with the iron block to not spend a fortune.

Yeah we have heard that all the while the boosted 427 works great and many many running around with more than 600 rwhp and
they fly so if you don't know and are new here and to the 427
live and learn.

so, should you or should you not supercharge an lS7? I was considering it but I don’t want to blow up my motor. It might be better to just do cam and headers and a tune and see what HP I get out of that. I have a 2013 427 vette.
