1K miles in 6 years. Thats a lot of sitting... Mid 40's probably. I wouldn't buy a car that sat like that though.

IMHO it would be worth 50-52. With only 1k miles on it you are gloing to pay a premium. What should you get? An umolested mint car that more than likely hasn't been beat on never in rain and so on. Also shouldn't have rock chips on front, sides or rear quarter panels which these cars are notorious for. 3lz package is roughly 6-7k bringing it to roughly 82-83k new. To me it would be worth it due to the fact I would want the cleanest car I could find. Then I would wrap the listed areas in clear bra to prevent chips so I could have a super nice car for a long time.
Sure you can buy one for 46ish, but now you are talking somewhere around 15k miles bad weather chips bla bla. I know someone selling his Z06 2007 with 15k or so miles on it and it looks pretty beat down. Drives it in bad weather all the time, rock chips all over it, swirl marks in the paint all over the car and just generally not taken care of. 2lz car to.
If you are going to beat thd crap out of it for a couple years then dump it a 43-47k car may be your thing. If you are a particular type person who wants a super nice car and you plan on keeping it for a long time I'd spend a bit more and get the nicer car. This is just my opinion hope this helps
imho I would spend more and get the nicer car, but then I'm that super **** guy who has to have everything spotless!

I agree with the mid 40's, it will need new tires due to the age and of course the valve thing which will run you a couple g's to address. I bought my 08 for mid 40's two years ago with 4000 miles, addressed the issues and couldn't be happier. I did do all kind of mods getting close to 600 HP. Its endless after that, I would protect the perfect paint with xpel etc... Just buy it haha

they guy is asking 60k, which is ridiculous. He is a collector - and these guys usually have no clue as to the reality of the market.

i made an offer of 53k, which is MORE than fair.

how can i educate this guy?

certainly he may find someone like him to buy it for 60k....but it may take 12-18 months...maybe he doesnt care.

You cant educate them. I have looked at a couple of cars in the same situation. 2009 ZR1 for $98K. I am more than willing to pay a premium for low KM's but not what some of these guys want.

So instead of the usual that's to many miles for a Z whatever the year it's that isn't enough miles to be worth anything?

Why not post pics and the equipment offered on the vehicle? That would help with coming up with a guesstimate of what it's worth.

But for that price there is that nice 11 Carbon that can be had for around 60k.

Default 08 Black w/ Black&Linen Interior

In Feb 2012, I bought the same exact color , model and year for $51,000.00 delivered unseen from H&H Corvettes near Tampa , this car exceeded my expectations, I can only say it was worth every cent I paid, I've been told I paid to much???that's their opinion, I'd say somewhere around $50,000, bit with only 1000 miles, I'd probably pay 2 OR 3 thousand more???contingent upon it being in immaculate condition. Also, better to grab a mint C6Z, than the C7? really not a upgrade in my opinion!!! Good luck!!

The dealer is baked, and 53k is ridiculous for a 08. Even with low miles, don't touch it without some kind of warranty.

this is the correct answer.

At the end of the day very few people would see the same value in that car as the seller. It's not really a great "collector" car with two owners and no real unique options - like a carbon or cooksey. Its not even an interesting color... So you're paying out the butt for a "like-new" car except no warranty and a huge depreciation - like 10k minimum - as soon as you drive it home.

I say walk away. The car will still be tthere so you can stop back every month or so and offer 1 grand less each time.
