Z06 18X10.0" Front Wheel Offset
Hey guys, I'm going to be putting a new set of wheels and tires on my 07 Z06 and I'm being advised that an 18X10.0" with a +30mm offset will work on my car. Specifically, I'm looking at the Forgestar F14s and, according to them, this is the only offset they offer for a 10.0" front for my car due to brake clearance requirements. However, it seems, to me, that this offset would be too aggressive... I'd love to run this deep concave 10.0" wide wheel up front but I also don't want to sand blast my fenders!
Can anyone verify, from experience, if this width/offset is a good fit on the front of our cars?
Thanks, in advance!

30 mm offset may be right. Call LG Motorsports they sell Forgeline and can advise you. I run a set of their World Challenge wheels which are cast aluminum. The fronts are 18x10 but I don't know the offset. I do know the extra half inch width adds just enough width that with a 285 or larger tire under hard cornering on a track the front tires will rub off the top of the front wheel opening Gurney flap. The same 285 tire mounted on a stock wheel doesn't rub there.
The stock 18x9.5 wheel has a +40mm offset so if you modded a stock wheel by adding 12.7 mm (half inch) width to the wheel backspace that moves the center of the wheel about 6.3 mm toward the inside. Thus the offset for a modded stock wheel would become 46.3mm. On a new design wheel they could set the wheel mounting flange so it is at +30mm which would mean the outside of that wheel would be 16.3 mm further out than a stock wheel. Thus all of the added width and more is to the outside of the mounting flange.

I'm aware of the change it would make in the front spacing of the wheel and that's exactly why I'm concerned about the fitment - Seems it would be a little too aggressive. Really just looking for what others are running for an offset with a 10.0" wide front wheel.
