Awesome times and beautiful car. I'm totally stealing the wheel and tire combo. Really nice 60 ft times. Do you have any tips or advice on how you're launching? And do you have any upgrades to the rear?

LMK if you are interested.
BTW- I hear that Cecil is a great track and is quite fast. I have not yet had the pleasure to run there .
Thanks for the invite Gary. I'll let you know in the next few days if I'll be attending. Getting to the track with my wheels/tires can be difficult, as I don't have a trailer yet. Let me talk to a few friends and see if I can find someone to drive my truck down with the wheels/tires, plus I need to make sure my schedule is free.

Cecil is a pretty quick track and only about 50mins from my house. I go there mostly because they're a little kinder to the Corvette guys who don't have cages lol.

Haha thanks!

The car hooks up really well. It actually bogs a little bit. I'm still finding the sweet spot for the perfect launch. As far as tips, I'd suggest following the ranger method or talking to Gary. Both of those guys are much more experienced than I am when it comes to getting the best 60' times out of these cars. Also, my suspension is completely stock except for C5 half shafts axles. Oh and my car is lowered on aftermarket bolts, but that certainly doesn't help my 60' times!

If your 60' times went down, that may have something to do with the MPH going down...

Nice passes! What RPM were you shifting at by the way??

Shifting at 6,000-6100rpm. The car makes peak power at 5,800rpm. Dyno graph attached below!

Why not throw the rears in the hatch and drive on the fronts & swap rear wheels at the track?? They WILL fit when positioned properly, along with a jack and some tools. Been there, done that.

I thought that sounded like shorter shift rpm's.
My best times were ALWAYS when I shifted right at redline...You should try it. I'd be shocked if your times didn't improve..

Wow.... you HAVE to shift that higher man.... Bring it to 7k... I bet it picks up 3-4 mph

Good suggestion Ron. Although, packing wheels and the floor jack in my trunk is a bit more than I'm willing to hassle with. I'd rather have a friend drive a truck hauling everything I need. I have several damaged vertebra in my back, so I need a friend to help me setup the car up anyways. Sooner or later I'll get a new truck & trailer!

The car certainly feels like the power is dropping off after 6k RPM, but I guess I'm not starting the next gear at the best RPM after the shift. I'll try 6.5k and 7k the next time I go. Hopefully I have one more track day in me this year!

Thanks Fran,

The only mods I have to the stock drivetrain is a McLeod RXT clutch and C5 half shafts.

Thats awsome! You're making just about the same power as my cammed car on 91 lol gotta love e85. I don't know how strict they are out about the rule but I just told the tech guy at my local track my car was 08 because of the new NHRA rule allowing 08+ cars to go down to 10.0 w/o a roll bar, it might still be 135mph though.

Good grief.... please shift the car at 6900rpm next time out. I bet you will be delighted at your car suddenly running 10.3's at 135mph with a 1.5x 60ft. You're making plenty of power!!! If you would like a little guidence PM me when you're going next i'm a hour from cecil and I know a couple things about racing a bolt on C6Z.

Did you ever switch the Pfadt's out for the AR's? I've been on the lookout for some 1 3/4 Pfadt's myself.
