Joined the ZO6 Club Today!
Today I sold my 2013 707whp grandsport to a good friend, I got his 2006 ZO6 with every option plus cash of course. I'm not planning on going crazy on mods of this car got tired of it all on my last car and always breaking parts.
What's the best intake for a Z? I only plan on a intake, headers, ported TB and IM, and a good tune. I will get some better photos tomorrow after I get her detailed up but here's a quick picture when I got it home. I have a set of black spyder rims coming in next week. The rims on it will be for sale next week.

Congratulations. Why did you convert? I suspect the GS was a nice machine, especially with the boost in hp. The Z06 is a nice machine as well. Over the long haul, I think you made a great decision.
Check to see if your buddy had the LS7's valve guides checked. Otherwise, I would suggest keeping your Z stock for a minute, while learning the car and how to get the most out of it because their very capable rides, depending on what you want to do with it of course.
Then decide what mods....
BTW, I like Halltech intakes.

I'm having the valves done and slight port work to the heads next month. I switched because I did love the hp and the car but... No matter what once you cross 650-700whp the car has what I call useless hp under a 100mph. It would spin thru third while even throttling it, so really you can't use the car's hp anywhere unless you were doing like 100-200mph runs (That was fun last night
I have always wanted a ZO6 for the LS7 and low end grunt which I love, yea the GS made a lot of hp it was only after 3.5-4k that the boost came in and started roasting tires and throwing you in your seat. Overall I'm very happy with the ZO6 and now I have some extra cash to get rid of some debt. I think I'm doing a behive intake after looking I've only heard great reviews.

I recently put on an Airaid CAI, it's a very nice setup for the money.

The deal fell thru on the car my friend who bought my car couldn't come up with the cash he needed ontop of the Z. I'm still going to find one but for now back to the high hp club.
