[Z06] BTR stg IV Cam
#4
Burning Brakes
One of my buddies in Austin, Tx recently had that cam installed in his 2010 C6Z. He said for as big a cam as it is the drivability is really good, a lot better than he expected. He put down 599/535 on a Dynapack dyno in 93 degree weather, 93 octane on the stock clutch with a little bit of slip. He has now upgraded to a McLeod clutch
Mods are as follows:
Fast 102/NW 102
2" ARH headers, non catted midpipe
Akrapovic axleback
Texas speed ported polished oem heads milled .030, bronze guides, stainless steel ex valves, btr 660 dual valve springs, solid trunion kit
Halltech 105s with beehive
BTR stage IV cam
-jp

I have a BTR Stage 4 LS7 cam... James short of Shortuning tuned my car... I only have a small amount of surge in 1st-3rd at 1300-1500rpm... I got none in 4th-6th... I can cruise at 1000-1500rpm in 6th with zero surge... I make 624rwhp & 555rwtq with SAE correction... I'm H/C/I at 12:1cr on 94 pump and meth... Got 2" ARH LTs with 3" offroad X-pipe and 3" B&B fusion with all the extras...

Thats a great camshaft, Will make big peak power and lots of torque at the sacrifice of some driveability. I have them in stock if you need the kit or just the camshaft! Also seen great results with the BTR stg 3 camshaft. Give us a call if you need anymore info,

I just got the BTR Stg IV cam, and cant wait. It should be here today or tomorrow, I will have a project to do over Christmas break. I will report back after the new year on how it behaves on the street.

We have installed and tuned a few of these cams. Great high rpm power and good drivability for the size.

Here was my car around lunch time yesterday, It took all in all about 8-9 hours to do the install. we just copied a tune from a friends car that has the Stage III cam to get it to run. so with a copied tune, until can get it properly tuned the 5th, it sounds pretty good. My car has Frankenstein Stg 2 LS7 casting heads, K&N CAI, BTR Stg 4 cam, Monster Dual disc clutch, MGW shifter, stock exhaust (for now). ill post a sound clip once tuned
