My "highway" miles usually have two people in the car, plus 100# of luggage!

When my Z06 was stock I drove it from Minneapolis to Road America in Elkhart Lake Wi. A friend came with in his Mazda6. We both filled up in Minneapolis and again is Elkhart Lake. He used more gas than I did.

Haha what'd he think of that? To me being able to match or exceed the highway MPG of my friend in an old corolla would be pretty funny. He's got around 101K on it and gets around 27 I think

These things are no less than amazing! I ran a few guys last week in mine (0-130 pulls) and mixed city/highways driving and still averaged 23 mpgs!!!!

Get this guys. I just sold my 2011 subaru sti sedan on saturday and drove it from houston tx to little rock ar using cruise control keeping it at a steady 78 mph. My best was 21.6 lol (yes a stock 4 cylinder)

I am usually in the 14-15mpg around town and back and fourth to work.

If I add in any highway that usually jumps to 19-20mpg.

I don't think I have done a strait highway tank yet with no spirited driving, but I would guess 24-26 based on what I have seen.

I use an App called Fuelio to track mpg and what not just out of curiosity.

This is why I ask Even though gas mileage isn't important, to me being able to have incredible power with it being more efficient than most other "eco friendly" cars is fantastic and another aspect that makes these machines so great

I could see that paying off in the long run. It'd be interesting to see how your/LS7 mpg decreases as the miles increase. Obviously it will go down but to what extent is what I mean

I use the fuelly app to track my gas mileage and the average mpg for the 3200 miles I tracked was 21.5 which is about 1-2 mpg's less than what the dic told me.

My average is around 10 MPG give or take a few. But it seems to me that I'm having a bit more fun than most of you guys.
And now that it's $2.30 a gallon who cares?

I have noticed the same thing consistently. it is close, but always about 1mpg off.

I also see where my DIC is around 1-1.5mpg higher than hand calculated.

95% of my driving my Z06 is on road trips(around 11,000 miles last year were on long road trips) and the difference between 10 MPG and 27.6 MPG(MPG I got on my last 2300 mile road trip to southern Colorado and northern New Mexico) is several extra days of free travel. Actually around 12 days of free motels based on $3.50/gal gas prices and $117/day motel charges.

I don't jump in my Z06 just to drive to Walmart in city traffic averaging 20 MPH while getting 10 MPG. I have a DD for that task, that gets 21 in the City.

I get an average of 27.3 mpg in my 13Z over the two 3,000+ mile trips. I traded in my 06Z a couple of years ago with 39,000 trouble free miles and was getting 27.7 mpg from day one until traded. Both cars had the Airaid installed. Prior to the Airaid they both were running 25.5 mpg.

Using actual math with fuel usage and mileage, I averaged 31.25 from Dallas to Houston including driving in a little traffic and rain. I don't trust the onboard calculations.

I think my tune is off, looks to be a bench tune, so i average 15ish mph city/highway, but i just got this car (07 2LZ) already has Frankenstein CNC ported LS7 casting heads, will get a cam, intake, exhaust and real tune, very soon.
