Default No Rubbing

I run stock wheels and Michelin PSS 285/35 - 18 tires.

My ZO6 is lowered all the way on stock bolts.

My tires don't rub.

More info needed. The stock wheels and tire sizes do not rub at factory ride height and I have not heard of them rubbing on cars lowered on OEM bolts. It could be possible to align the suspension in a way to get rub, but not at factory or street specs.

I've had 295/35 fronts rub lightly in a couple of places (full lock on the brake cooling ducts) and 335/30 rears on the top fender liner, lightly.

The front tires do "skip" or skid at parking lot speeds at full steering wheel lock, but that is inherent in the summer wide tires and the Vette suspension. They do that without rub, especially in cold weather. Maybe that's what you are experiencing?

When I'm pulling out of the driveway and turn to sharp the tires rub the plastic. I have stock wheels and tires and am stock ride height.

Plastic outer fender liner or plastic brake duct? I've never heard of the stock wheels tires rubbing the brake duct or the outer fender liner.

Do you know what your alignment is? Close to stock?

It rubs on the inner side. I'm pretty sure it's the liner. Not sure about the alignment, I just bought the car a few months ago with a clean car fax.

Rub would be to strong of a word but I can see where my front tire has just kissed the front part of the front fender liner/trim . My car is stock ,not lowered with factory tires and wheels . 19/20 package , I can take some pic's if you need me to.

I have a touch of rubbing on the brake ducts, but only with my 315 section width Hoosiers on the car. I have a very aggressive alignment (lots of negative camber and lots of positive caster), and the car has a mild amount of lowering on the stock bolts. 18"/19" stock sized wheels on the car.

Even with that set up, no rubbing with the stock sized Bridgestones or Michelins.

First thing to check is to make sure you really have the stock wheels. Since you just purchased the car it could be they look stock but aren't. You should see the GM logo and Speedline on the back side of the wheels. Are you sure the tires are the stock size? Front tires are 275/35/18. 285s will rub on the upper end of the gurney flap at the top of the front wheel well if the wheel is offset a couple mm further out than stock. The alignment can affect how far the wheel is offset from the car center line. A stock alignment can be maintained by pushing both the upper control arm and the lower control arm to the far end of their adjustment range. You can actually push the wheel close to a half inch further away from the center line by doing that.

The most likely place for the wheel to rub on the inside is the brake duct. If you are turning hard left the right front wheel comes very close to the right brake duct so if there is any variation in size or offset the tire may rub on the duct. Turn your wheels so they are pointed out of the wheel well and then use a flashlight to look inside the wheel well and see if the brake duct has an arced groove in it.

Stock 2011 Z07...19's on the front and they will rub on the inner fender liner on a hard lock turn either way...others equipped the same way have had the same issue.

Ken run flats on spyder wheels up front. No rubbing. The tires don't like sharp turns at very low speed though because of the stiff sidewalls.

My stock 2011 Z07 does not rub. The front tires "skip" across the pavement at low speeds when turned full left or right.

Have you altered the factory alignment, I have not changed mine.
