Best Cam/Head package and price?
i'm looking to add some power to my 2006 z06, i've got Headers and Vararam air intake currently. what would be the best route to go with Heads/Cam? does it make sense to find someone to rework my existing heads? what should i expect for prices? thx

I agree you need to check the guides. How many miles on the car? As for head/cam options there's soooo many options out there. I've been researching for weeks trying to figure out what to do on my car.

since i want to and need to have the guides checked out i'm liking to add ported heads and a cam. But with so many options, wondered what works well together. Are you guys working with the oem heads or upgrading to new heads?

Yeah you definitely need to think about getting the heads checked. But if you're going to do the work soon then you'll be pulling them anyway. A lot of the guys are reworking the OEM heads. It's a "cheap" fix to send them out and have guides installed while doing some port work.
I'm in the same mindset I want to get my heads done even though I only have 12k on my 09 but might as well throw a cam in while I'm pulling the heads and have it torn apart.

Get with Kohle at American Heritage and have him install his PM guides and the Ferrea hollow stem exhaust valves. Best spring to control the valves are the PSI 1511 beehive with Ti retainer.
The cam comes down to what are your goals and what do you use the car for, is this a DD or a weekend warrior where driveability is not that important? Low end tq. or high end hp for 3rd gear blasts?

I would suggest to get with Patrick G or Geoff at EPS to design you the cam you want that is friendly on the guides. Something in the neighborhood of mid 230's intake and mid 240's exhaust on a 112 to 114 LSA.

Give us a call. Our packages that we have been doing lately are making in the 590rwhp 520rwtq on a dyno jet SAE corrected on a stock ls7 intake.
