We have 16 people in this thread that have filed a complaint, spread the word and file a complaint if your heads were out of spec, or if you lost an engine(s).
I reviewed the complaints filed with the NHTSA and here is the breakdown:
2006 - 5 Complaints Filed.
2007 - 10 Complaints Filed.
2008 - 6 Complaints Filed.
2009 - 4 Complaints Filed.
2010 - 0 Complaints Filed.
2011 - 0 Complaints Filed.
2012 - 0 Complaints Filed.
2013 - 0 Complaints Filed.
So we have a total of 25 Complaints on Record with the NHTSA, I would think this would warrant an investigation, but keep them coming.

If you would like Tadge to tell us specifically what went wrong with the LS7 heads, what exactly needs to be done to fix them, and why GM has ignored this for so long, then QUICKLY go VOTE! We are short on time and are losing:

Just did a wiggle test.......OMG
WoW.......I was shocked, I started with the #1 cylinder and as I was putting on the spring compressor I just pushed on the intake valve
(spring on) and it felt good, so I PUSHED ON THE EXHUST.....I could wiggle it,,,, (spring on) back and forth a lot. I knew I had dogged a bullet doing this....The car has 33,000 2007, just a every day driver, never on a track, was running great, on oil use, no noise...nothing.
I removed the springs, put a dial indicator on and intake, it was 0.05 to 0.07, moved to the exhaust and got 0.35...wow, you could make the needle go almost 180 degrease on the dial....There is no need to proceed.............heads are coming off................Compliant filed.........I have built engines all my life, unlimited and limited hydro's, drag boats, aircraft......I have only seen guides like this at 250,000 hard miles........................

I was one of those 2008 complaints. So far no response from NHTSA...

I am about to move from 2004 C5 to a 2007 C6Z06. I am going to immediately get the heads tested and will report the findings.
It is a 2007, with 23,000 on the odometer.
