Do the sizes of the steering wheels change from 2006-2013?

My DD is a '14 M5 and I'm used to / prefer a nice thick steering wheel.

Second question- how easy is it to swap steering wheels? Ex- I like the 2012/13's in Alcantara.

Same size wheels '06-'13...

Here a link for do it yourself that will take you 30-40 minutes if you've never done a swap before, half of that if you have.

I went fron an 09' to 12' suede steering wheel, the thickness felt the same to me.

The wheel is super simple to swap. No special tools required.

Now if we could get the D shaped C7 steering wheels to fit in our C6's that would be sweet.
