Default Possible New Cammed/Blown C6Z Owner..Question First

Hi guys...so I am looking at buying an 07Z thats built/cammed/blown. The motor itself is fully built with around 3k on it (ERL block, Weisco pistons etc.) but the heads, to my knowledge, only had new springs installed when the motor was built. With the whole 'dropping valves' controversy, you can easily understand why I am paranoid about the purchase.

My question is, what would you guys do in this scenario? I plan to do a compression/leakdown before final purchase but are there any other things you seasoned vets would suggest addressing and/or checking prior to purchase? Thanks in advance!

reworking your stock heads and outfitting them with "ideal" parts would be a little more than half the above amount.

This sounds like an intriguing option. As far as "ideal" parts go, are we talking about bronze guides etc.? Any recommendations for shops that do this with a fairly quick turnaround time?

No need to be paranoid. Accept the fact you need to do the heads, or don't purchase a c6z. Simple.

Vengeance Racing has an exchange program for WCCH stage 2 heads. They ship immediately, you install, send back stock within 30 days. Simple. You pay a core charge upfront that is refunded later. I did it and they were awesome.
