[Z06] The Best Performance Engine & Trans Mounts on the Market @ Hinson Motorsports
#62
Just installed the engine mounts tonight and they are very nice. My stock mounts were totally split and no fluid in them anymore. The Hinson mounts fit well and the increase in vibration is very very slight. These cured my issues with the header hitting my steering arm. The car feels more solid now and no shaking shifter at idle anymore. Throttle response feel more precise now.

Install is straight forward. You have to lower the front and rear cradle.

Lowered cradle till only a few threads were left front and back removed stock motor mount nuts and jacked engine as high as it would go it will hit exhaust on tunnel plate. Even then it is a mile away from coming out. Driver side is easy you can actually remove motor mount bracket and install no problem. I think you are going to have to remove both nuts on pass. side and support everything and pull down to remove. Love the one I got in. Ill give the other one another go this weekend. good luck let us know how you make out.

Yea I went ahead and did just that and it came right out. The feel now with both in is great unfortunately I did not mark cradle and now have tons of oversteer and probably lost my corner balance as well. rookie mistake live and learn.

O man that's unfortunate. Get it over to a good alignment shop and get it sorted out.

Short mounts and trans mounts in stock. If you need extra cowl clearance for a supercharger or intake, these mounts are your solution.
