[Z06] Clutch Noise When Clutch Fully Pressed
#21
Did you put a new release bearing in it when you swapped clutches? On my first aftermarket clutch, the idiot I had do it said "they looked at it and it was fine.." After he originally told me a new one was put in, but everyone that worked there liked me more than the owner and told me a new one wasn't put in.
The car had maybe 16k miles on it when I put a crappy DYAD twin disc in. It made a squealing noise (for lack of a better term.) It shifted fine and it kinda reminded me of a fan belt, but not very loud. So I took it back and the person who put it in listened and said it was a belt or some crap. Went and saw a buddy at Chevy in the service dept and he said throw out/release bearing right away. Long story short, I made the original person re do it after they lied to me about putting a new one in and I watched every minute of it like being corrected like a HAWK. If you didn't put a new one in it, pull the clutch, put a new one in, along with everything else in there and maybe add you a remote bleeder as well.
