Hehehe well then there's 2 in existence then. If yours doesn't have a heads n cam kit that'll make it 3 in existence (I found one a while ago in jsb...z07 pkg & b92 hood added)

Default Billy boat long tube headers Z07

Just wondering if any of you guys have any experience with the billy boat long tube headers? Looking for a set of headers right and and I figured since the z07 already has the zr1 x pipe and from what I read the billy boat long tube headers will bolt straight up to it, they would be a good option? Do any of you guys run this set up ?

Default 2011 Z06 (Z07 package) Inferno Orange Metalic

Last time I was in the Forum, I had a 2005 C6 Z51. (I think it's been a few years since I've been on here)
--
Since then I upgraded to a 2011 Z06 Z07 model - Inferno Orange Metallic. The jump from my old C6 to this mean machine is fairly significant. A nice side benefit is having the ceramic brakes, I get zero brake dust. (At least I never see any evidence of it) Plus, I'm coming up on 28,000 miles and the brakes show almost zero wear. As my 2005 C6, the brakes were toast at 50,000 miles. These ceramic brakes squeak a bit, but who cars.... With "Ted Nugent Stranglehold" cranked up on the stereo, I barely notice.
--
Anyhow, I guess this is me checking in with my 2011 Z07. I didn't know the production numbers were so low. Now that I think of it, I've never seen a Z06 carbon or Z07 C6 since I've owned mine.

Welcome to the Z07 team! IO is the best color, but then I am biased, just a little...really they are all awesome.

On a similar note, I am seriously considering either the B&B fusion or Ackrapovic slip on exhaust. I like the ability to keep the mild 2 wild function and both of these work with it. However, don't know anyone that has either here in Hawaii so hard to tell how much better will it be from stock. Two completely different sounds. Anyone else consider or put them on their cars? Looking for input from someone that has heard them.

If your Z is a 2011, I think it sounds the best and is unique to the 2011 Zo6. My friend just bought the B&B fusion and I was shocked at how heavy they were! Beautiful, nice quality piece but very heavy compared to stock. They do sound good but not better than a 2011 Z. My baffles are partially blown out on my 2011 Z and I am at a cross road. New ones are pretty pricey for a muffler I am destined to blow out again. B&B fusions sound the best by comparison for similar price and are beautiful but very heavy. Been hoping for a used stock set of 2011-2013's but hard to find?

You guys just saved me a bunch of $. My 2011 does sound great, but so many people said how much better the sound was after installing the slip on's. The must have been talking about other years...

They definitely are talking about different years. My understanding is the 2011-2013 muffler is the same on the Zo6-ZR1. But only the 2011 has 2 cats, and the ZR1 crossover pipe combination along w/ tuning that creates the unique sound of the 2011. My friend put in headers and had a tune and he lost the burble and crackling on down shifts. Now I am convincing myself to buy stock mufflers!!!
Anyone want to help out a Zo7 brother and sell me their mufflers who went aftermarket??? My baffles are blown out!!!

Keep your 2011 exhaust and just get long tube headers. It's an amazing sounding system from the factory. Bangs and pops like no other, especially with headers.

Default Halltech MF103 does not fit Z07

This may not be news to any of you fellow Z07 owners, but I just found out from Halltech today that the MF103 air intake that fits all other Z06's will not fit the Z07 or Carbon...they said it is because of the radiator shroud; I speculate because the Z07 and Carbon both have the ZR1 radiator and it is larger than the standard Z06 rad. Halltech said the Z07 Carbon radiator shroud makes the intake sit up too high.

Has anybody successfully installed any other type of CAI on a Z07?

I have the Airaid and it is flawless. Fits fine. Great quality, good price, no codes. can feel it in the seat of the pants, no tune and the dyno shows 475 to rear wheels.

I have a Callaway intake. They have a specific version for the Z07 because of the different radiator like you stated above.

No other mods. Stock 2011 Zo7 w/ an Airaid CAI. The first 6 months I owned it I thought it was much faster than my 08Z. It was. I took it over to Mayhem Motorsports in Raleigh, NC. He did two pulls came over and said " what did you do to the motor" Nothing. He said he normally sees in the 440 HP range on a stock LS7??

I am looking at the dyno sheet here and it says Dynojet research on top
475.90 max power 439.52 max torque Run type: RO run conditions 85.73 F ,29.90 in HG, Humidity 8% ,SAE 0.99

?? I have read how the 2011's have more power and others were pretty close to mine. I have an extended warranty and never touched anything but suspension.

Wish I could post pics but that is way beyond my skill level!! LOL
