Loose oil line connector? Need help (with video)
Today I noticed a few drops of oil on the ground. I traced it back to the oil line connector. It could spin somewhat freely, I thought I 'tightened' it, but it never felt all that right. I go out for a test drive and the car is spitting out oil from this connection point. I jack the car back up and I'm playing with the connector and I don't see how it can have a secure connection.
The car was running fine for almost a year, had the oil cooler installed by a great and reputable local shop. The oil cooler is a combo oil cooler/radiator from RSD, a shop that also specializes in Corvette parts.
Is the fitting too small? I can never get it tight. It just spins and wobbles inside of the oil cooler. Even with the oil line snapped into the connector, it still spins and wobbles.
