Default Mantic 9000 Feedback Please

I have searched numerous threads on C6 Z06 clutches. Several members have recommended the Mantic 9000 as an ideal clutch to hold up on my H/C/I C6Z; so far, the only complaint I have read is that one member on LS1tech keeps going through slave cylinders after installing a Mantic.

I plan on using the car as a weekend warrior, drive to work on Fridays. The two candidates that appeal to me are the Mantic 9000 as the front runner, and the Monster LT1-S as the runner up.

-Has to stay clamped at 523 rwtq
-Has to operate at 7300rpm
-Has to be 95% chatter free (I can live with "some")
-Has to be progressive; no on/off switches
-Has to be the right weight, I don't want an ultra lightweight flywheel that makes the car unstreetable, or a nightmare to tune.
-Has to have OE level of longevity/durability (including slave components).

I don't care about price, I want it right so that I don't have to do this twice. I greatly appreciate any feedback you can provide, I really want the pros and cons of both. Thanks!!

-Has to stay clamped at 523 rwtq... No problems

-Has to operate at 7300rpm.... Suggest a tick master cylinder, then no problems

-Has to be 95% chatter free (I can live with "some")... Mine chatters about 50% of the time from takeoff. All other shifts are ok

-Has to be progressive; no on/off switches.... No problem

-Has to be the right weight, I don't want an ultra lightweight flywheel that makes the car unstreetable, or a nightmare to tune..... No problems

-Has to have OE level of longevity/durability (including slave components). Ive had mine for a few years, but only a few thousand miles. Hopefulyl someone else chimes in. No problems for me so far

Mine is holding 1000rwtq
Shifts perfect at 7300-7400
No noise
Drives great
No on/off
Almost 15k miles now, not a single issue, all of those miles 1000+rwhp.

Thanks for the feedback! Can you elaborate on the tick master cylinder, and why it helps with high rpm operation?

Tick isn't needed, but it is a tilton larger bore master which moves more fluid so each pressure in theory gives more/quicker release. Not needed, and easy to add later if you want.

Reason for the Tick is to make sure the clutch fully releases. Mine drags VERY slightly. You can notice it by putting the car into gear on flat ground, you will notice the car roll forward ever so slightly. Not enough that I worry about it, but it isn't great for longevity on high RPM shifts

That isn't normal or expected though.

Great answer to OP's question. It's wonderful to see real feedback based on experiences. CF is awesome.

One thing I wonder about is why in some of these threads are there completely opposite experiences with chatter? Some say they have ZERO chatter, others say it chatters sometimes and others have said that they removed the Mantic 9k and put in a different clutch after a few thousand miles because it chattered so bad.

Personal tolerance? Weather conditions? Driving/use case scenarios? Mod levels?

Could this be due to installation and/or break in? If so, what are the suggested protocols/steps to take to install properly and avoid the chatter?

I have t he centerforce dual disc, not the 9000, but when I installed it it chattered, I changed to the henson motor mounts an the chatter went away completely. No experience with the 9000 as I stated but their may be other reasons for the chatter.

Could be stuff like bad motor mounts, etc. Same exact thing with RXTs. Some chatter, hold great, others are noisey. Some kill slaves, some don't.

In my experience the mantic and RPS are the two most trouble free clutches, but there is always some one who has an issue. I've seen people not clean the plates/floaters so they still have junk all over them then have them slip. I've seen people not setup the slave/etc properly.

I will have to consider that great price. I'm sold on the Mantic. It is rare to read so much positive feedback on a performance part without there being a hidden flaw, or a "con" to consider within pro/cons. Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it.

Out of curiosity, where does Mantic source the friction discs? Are they an OE supplier (Luk, Valeo, Sachs)? Or does Mantic make those in-house? Thanks.

Put a Mantic 9000 in two months ago. Drives like stock except for less pedal effort. No creep or chatter.

Looking at the disc, looks like it is all done in house.

Were they the organic or metallic discs?

Mantic is not like most aftermarket clutch companies, they are a division of a huge OEM clutch manufacturer. They have supplied clutches to almost every major OEM manufacturer around the world.

So everything is made in house besides the slave cylinders or things of that nature.

That also means they have the engineering, financial backing and OEM testing equipment that you simply won't see in the aftermarket. Thus bringing you what I feel is the best high performance clutch I have ever driven.
