Talk me off the cliff
Thinking of selling my Z06, it sits in the garage and only drive it once or twice a month. Bought the car for weekend road trips, but recently bought a 30 Ft travel trailer as my Wife likes to go RV Camping, so not doing any road trips to speak of these days. I know I will kick myself for selling it, but toys are toys and I could always buy another one down the road.

I don't have to sell it financially, I have too many toys in the garage that do not get used. I know it would be hard to see it go as it is my baby, but I have sold other toys in the past that I said I would never sell. My daily driver is a F-250 Crew Cab Diesel, love this truck, so that makes it a bit easier I guess.

Toys should be used and enjoyed. If you aren't driving it, you enjoy other things more. You should sell it. I have alot of cars and other toys but I still enjoy them. When you have neither the time or the interest why keep something that depreciates?

A lot of good replies, thanks!
We have Quads, Jet Ski's, Dirt Bikes, Travel Trailer, the Z06, F-250 Diesel, and the Wife's Cadillac SRX.
My thought is to really downsize the amount of toys drastically to the things we use the most, that's our daily drivers, the travel trailer, and the jet ski's. If I get rid of the Corvette, I am halfway thinking of ditching both GM Products (Z06 & SRX) we own and get my Wife a new daily driver out of the deal, she really likes the new 2016 Ford Explorer Sport with the Twin Turbo Ecoboost V-6, they scoot along pretty nicely. Reasonable Suspicion on the forum was kind enough to get me an X-Plan to use on any new Ford I want
I know I will get a bit choked up a bit when I hand the keys over to the Z06, it has been a fun car and it's beautiful - only dislike has been the LS7 Valve Issue and GM's lack of wanting to keep customers happy, so I think about the valve issue every time I drive the car, even though I had AHP fix the heads at there shop. Other downside there is not many places to really open up these cars except a track or 1/2 mile event.

That's kind of where I am at with it, I hate it sitting in the garage, we are pretty busy people and every weekend we typically have something planned with outdoor type activities that do not involve the Z06. I don't like driving the Z for work related appointments being a Consultant, I have had clients say that I must make too much money to drive a car like that, so pulling up in a truck works much better

Hey Dan, please keep it and stay on the forum; you are too valuable of member here. Plus, if you leave now, you won't get the new heads when GM does a recall. If you must sell it, remember forum rules require you to first put on a new set of rims and tires, a supercharger, a hci job, or at least a whole car expel film job. Sorry, fixing the he heads is regular maintenance and doesn't count.

Keep it. Who cares. I have many many toys just sitting in the garage. I haven't driven my Z06 in about 3 months. I just got another boat and it consumes all my time now. None of my cars get driven. Its just the way it goes. If your a toy collector and you enjoy walking into a garage (or in my case a damn warehouse at this point lol) and pointing at something and taking it for a spin then that's what you should do. If you can afford to have it sit there. Keep it. If you need the money or need it to put into another toy then dump it.

Well I have been daily driving a C6Z since April 2008, tracking up till last year and going to do an AutoX in July. And I still look forward to and get a thrill everytime I start her up.

Since I moved to Az my 2007 Z06 has been driven semi-regularly. It only has 23K on the odo but I'm driving it to Seattle tomorrow morning and I am not going to worry about the perceived valve issue. I have not had them checked either.
