just did the heads on my Z06 and I found a three prong purple connector hanging by the balancer on the driver side. Its under the alt bracket but cant find where it plugs into any help would be appreciated thanks.

Is it the connector to the steering rack? The connector for the rack is in that general location.

There is a connector right below the alternator bracket, can't tell exactly what it is connected to but I took a picture. Update: looking at my pictures from my head removal, the plug shown below connects to the plug that goes to the camshaft position sensor. I didn't see anything else directly under the alternator bracket.

Turns out to be the cam position sensor. Thanks for all who responded
