Hey guys since I sold my 03 Z06 back in Oct.2012 I have been on the sidelines and it felt like forever. Well I got approved at my local dealership. Deal was too good to pass up although money will be a little tight for the next 72 months I got a great interest rate and a very good price. Par for what it would go for in the US and I pay no exchange..so I saved like$ 9K!! Color was not my first choice but the mileage and interior and price made me fall in love.. I'm finalizing the paperwork tonite. It's an Indiana Z that a woman from Toronto ( yeah I was shocked too) imported into from Canada from the original owner.The woman in her 40's owns a high end hair salon.. How the Z ended up in Winnipeg was simple.. she likes red Z06's and Winnipeg was the closest city that had the C7Z she wanted .. a 2015 TR Z06 3LT so she sold her 2008 to the Winnipeg dealership with cash in exchange for the C7Z.

Ok on to my Z.. 2008 Victory Red 3LZ. 2 tone ebony/linen interior with the stitched leather interior dash door panels.. Exactly what I wanted.. but I wanted AO, but will settle for red again. Polished wheels with 2 year old pilot cup tires. ZR1 carbon fiber skirting was added by owner (all 3 pieces) which I am fine with but I am going to have to sell the catback. to loud for me.. It's 4 tipped borla's or magnaflow's... don't know yet. So other than that the engine and car is stock. Pics up later today guys!! Oh and only 10K miles on her! I gotta learn about C6Z's . I have 2 friends that can teach me about all the buttons and whistles.. It's good to be back and moving up a generation.. and I work for my vettes.. paycheck to paycheck. Sorry for going on.. I just cant wait to get her home in 4-5 hours!!! Needs a full length red spoiler.. cant afford to do much this year. I'm worried about the exhaust valves so I will keep rpm's low... cant do heads till next spring.. should do a wiggle test in the next week or 2. Anyway that's it for now.. proud to part of the C6Z family guys!!! Pics tonite!! Oh yeah and squeaky clean CARFAX!

So the catback is loud and I cant see a name on the cans underneath..Im running 215-220 coolant temps.. whats stock thermostat 195? Should I put a 160 in guys?

Thanks bud, they all look better in person. lol I think I'm attracting attention 50% red Z and chrome wheels and 50% sound! Geez these things are fast even stock.. but I find the steering feel isn't as connected as my C5Z was but I enjoy driving this more.. to me this is brand new as I can get and cd's sound amazing to me! Compared to a C5. Need a tunnel plate.. heat is bad .. worse than my C5 was.. I dunno how much LT's add, I hear not much for the money. Anyway just thought I would share

You can't see in pics but the original owner also put on the CF rear diffuser and the plastic CF brake duct inserts...actually look better than that gray abs plastic... Now I need a full length CF rear spoiler to finish it off. lol

No. 215-220 is normal operating temperature. It's also within the range that the oil was designed to be most effective. This topic was beat to death in the C5 forum. If GM could have gotten better performance or longevity out of the engine by simply using a different t-stat, they would have.

True.. it will drop while cruising to 198-205 then when you slow down or stop it quickly climbs... how come after searching every vendor is selling 160 t stats for C6's and C6 Z 's ??? I dunno.. maybe I will just play with the fan thermostat activation times... My buddy gave my his old diablo predator. Better than nothing... I checked my air filter I know I want a halltech killer or super bee.. would rather by used in good shape. My filter looks very clean, well 10,500 miles and its blue, is that factory filter? Yeah I have done so much searching I can't anymore. lol..

Now I know why my exhaust is deep, loud with some drone at certain RPM's.. couldn't find a manufacturer name but it looked familiar.. finally found the pics on the net after a few searches.. I have the B&B Bullets. I love them after 2 days! Great sound when your stock cammed. Anyone running them ( or had them) that's reading this? Yes I know. newbie C6Z questions..

Congrats ! My VR '08 also came from Indiana with 4300 miles. I purchased a new oem Canadian cluster, had it programmed for the correct miles/kms and so the needle doesn't swing too far now

It didn't take long to love it. lol especially the look from behind over the factory crap tips. lol .. From stuff i have read here the last 10 years, I am not the first one to change their mind in a New York minute on this forum on stuff! lol
