Cunningham Motorsports Comparison: FAST vs MSD Intake Manifold
MOST POWERFUL STOCK BOTTOM END LS7 ON OUR DYNO, EVER!!
2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (M6)
A very loyal customer of ours came in for a little more power. With the gains we saw from the MSD Intake Manifold on other cars, the choice was simple.
The car already had our CMS Custom Heads/Cam Package with flex fuel and a FAST Intake Manifold. This N/A package already put down some massive gains without compromising reliability/drivability. The car baselined 601 rwhp and 540 rwtq on our mustang dyno with e85.
After the MSD Intake Manifold, the car put down a blistering 617 rwhp and 546 rwtq on our mustang dyno with e85 and our custom calibration. That's a gain of 16 rwhp and 6 rwtq over the FAST manifold. Impressive to say the least! We will post the dyno in the comments. You'll see there is no loss in bottom or mid range power. On the top of the RPM range, it just keeps carrying over the FAST manifold.

Unported to unported numbers . I honestly don't see your ported fast being better than a msd intake . We'll likely have some 1/2 mph numbers for this car in the next few months .

Similar numbers
I had similar gains Ported Fast to Stock MSD. Went from 594 to 611 hp and tq went from 553 to 563 back to back within 2 hours or so. The difference became more apparent after 5,000 rpm. This was a 454 on pump gas. Peak hp was at 6,100 rpm or so while peak tq was at 5,200 or so.

Why would anyone choose a fast at this point? This is the 10th or 11th car I've seen gain power with no loss anywhere, it cost less, doesn't require fuel rail/spacers. Only downside is it is kind of ugly.
Good job Ryne.

I wonder how the new fast runners will perform in comparison. Thought those were coming out soon?

The new MSD is king... for now. I'm anxious to see some results from the new VaraRam VR-X intake soon.

Any opinions on the difference between a stock (unported) manifold and a MSD on a 500 rwhp stock cam engine? The manifold looks better with the letters removed.
