Default Another Z06 Reverse Gear Issue

I have noticed that my car has become harder to get into reverse, the car goes through the forward gears without a problem, no griding or anything. I thought maybe the shifter bushing was bad so replaced it with a MGW short throw shifter. It is still hard to get into reverse. I have to try forward gears first and hope it slips into reverse, it has become a pain in the ***!

I've done some searching and read about the reverse lockout solenoid, those guys were having grinding issues from what I remember. I don't have any grinds or weird noises.

What do you think I should try first? My car is n 06 with 55K miles.

I'm still on the stock shifter, and have the same issue. There seems to be no real key to getting it to work, sometimes I go 1st then try reverse, 4th then try reverse, sometimes I push towards reverse and release the clutch slowly and then it snaps into place. And then of course sometimes it goes in no problem. Hopefully someone will chime in with a real fix.. I was under the impression the MGW shifter would fix that problem... Good to know.

Your solenoid is bad. Mine is the same way. If it won't go into reverse I just push it into 3rd then into reverse and that usually does the trick. Sometimes like mentioned above I will slowly put pressure on the shifter into R then slowly let the clutch out. You can feel it shake a bit in the shifter then goes right in.

I dont remember which one it was, there isnt many just check all the 20A yellow fuses. I think it was on the inner front side of the fuse block under the hood.

***** EDIT *****

13 - MRRTD (25A)

I just went outside and checked mine, i pulled it out and the reverse was hard. That is definitely it.

The 13 fuse on mine is one of the big grey box fuses. Do I have to go buy one just to replace it?

That is a relay. That is not it. I know the fuse panel says that is it but it's not. Its just up from that, small 25AMP. I thought that was it too but after I looked harder noticed that it wasn't.

Look in the fuse block under the hood on the passenger side

I'm confused. Can somebody please explain this. There's threads on this forum that say the MRRDT fuse 13 is for the evap control solenoid. Also what does the reverse solenoid do?

I replaced my reverse lockout solenoid, still having issues with the car going into reverse.

I forgot to check wiring and will do that once I get the car back up on the lift.

Anyone have any other ideas of what my problem could be?

it is on the same circuit. physically they are about 1' apart and are on the same harness.

were the mufflers removed? if so then the wires might have a short.
