Default What years should you be concerned about the valves

My buddy is looking at a 2012-2013 but he is concerned on all the valve issues... what years were effected by this?

All years. If it has an LS7, the heads should be pulled and a proper valve job should be conducted with new guides.

OP.......... tough crowd here........... Tell him to get the best he can, make sure the warrantee is transferred (extended too), and then just drive it and enjoy it.

Every year LS7 has the potential to have the valve guide problem and the 2013's have the added issue of the bearing surfaces.
