A good friend stopped by this afternoon with his new Z06, flipped me the key fob and said "Take if for a ride." I didn't refuse. I thought you guys might be interested in my impression of the car. I took it for about a 10 mile drive and came away very impressed. It felt faster and handled better than my C6 Z06. If you stab the throttle in first gear it just smokes the tires (even quicker than the C6 Z06). The stock exhaust in track mode sounded great. The interior is very refined but a bit confining compared to our cars. Very little storage space in the back. It looks very sharp inside and outside. It had the Kalahari interior.
The car makes alot of torque very low in the RPM band. If you keep your foot in it the Supercharged motor will get you loose in the first 3 gears. I would say it's an easy car to get yourself killed in if you don't use your head. Overall I would say it's a very positive step forward and could possibly see one in my future. Still love the C6 Z06 though.

That C7 Z looks a hell of a lot better in front of that awesome New England Garage.....
But I must admit...the C7Z is growing on me!!!!

I agree totally. I have been looking at some of the 0-60 and 1/4 times that some of the car mags are printing and seeing 3.5 and 11.5 at 124 which is pretty much what they quoted back in 06 for the Z. I see many owners are running 10's now. After driving it, there is no question, stock for stock, the C7Z is faster. Unfortunately, it still has trouble, like the C6 Z, hooking up and using the power.
