I took it for about a 10 mile drive and came away very impressed. It felt faster and handled better than my C6 Z06. If you stab the throttle in first gear it just smokes the tires (even quicker than the C6 Z06). The stock exhaust in track mode sounded great. The interior is very refined but a bit confining compared to our cars. Very little storage space in the back. It looks very sharp inside and outside. It had the Kalahari interior.

The car makes alot of torque very low in the RPM band. If you keep your foot in it the Supercharged motor will get you loose in the first 3 gears. I would say it's an easy car to get yourself killed in if you don't use your head. Overall I would say it's a very positive step forward and could possibly see one in my future. Still love the C6 Z06 though.

Capevettes,

That C7 Z looks a hell of a lot better in front of that awesome New England Garage.....

But I must admit...the C7Z is growing on me!!!!

Love the garage (structure & contents) by the way!

I agree totally. I have been looking at some of the 0-60 and 1/4 times that some of the car mags are printing and seeing 3.5 and 11.5 at 124 which is pretty much what they quoted back in 06 for the Z. I see many owners are running 10's now. After driving it, there is no question, stock for stock, the C7Z is faster. Unfortunately, it still has trouble, like the C6 Z, hooking up and using the power.

And that's the rub. With the same tires, the C6Z06, C6ZR1 and C7Z06 all deliver similar performance because all push the limits of traction. The C7Z needs the additional power, downforce and electronics to compensate for its weight. I am eager to see its best Nürburgring lap merged with
.

I even like that John Deere thing and would like to take it for a rip! Hard to not like anything even near that garage.
