Thanks

I wonder how these hold up to boost. I don't want to be the one to find out, but would be nice to see if this intake can take 30psi. ~$1000-1300 is a lot cheaper than $2700-3000 for a PMC/etc

ZERO issues with boost.....Im very familiar with who MSD partnered with on this project and they build alot of intakes for the OEM's.

They also pressure test all this stuff to a minimum of 100 PSI and Im sure this intake was no different. You wont have any issues from boost PSI

I should also mention in thinking about this process a bit more thoroughly, for the price of brand new GM red coil/rail covers, it just doesn't make sense for you guys to deal with the hassle of shipping your used stuff to me and me dealing with the hassle of keeping track of who's who when the covers start rolling in. Brand new these cost a little over a hundred bucks and when you buy the package from me it all gets discounted a few bucks anyway so I have decided I will only offer NEW modified covers for those interested in this mod. If new covers were $300 it would certainly be a different story....but at a third of that price its a few drops in the bucket in terms of C6Z mod money. This also allows me to batch process them in some respects and buy inventory and keep them on the shelf which will shorten everyone's lead time....that's certainly bonus as well.

Let's face it....getting brand new GM covers that are properly fitted and finished with alot of attention to detail will just look great. It just puts the finishing touch on the awesome looking shaved manifold you just paid for and gives the entire top half of the engine (everything you basically see when you open the hood) a really "fresh" look that will really pop (as good as the pics I posted are, in person it even looks a touch more awesome....LOL)

Simple, reasonably cost effective....best overall result....DONE

Cheers,
Tony

PS....Did my best to get back to everyone that emailed and PM'ed me. Once again I stress you will get better/faster response time with email as I get phone alerts and its just easier and faster to respond to emails (alot less clicks) then dealing with PM's. I will get back to your PM's, but am usually much faster and more efficient responding to email. Just mention you saw my thread on the CF and go from there!

Another customer just did and got results today (the owner of the ported MSD and covers I modified and posted pics of in this thread coincidentally). He has a small smog legal cam so less valve timing means less time drawing more air thru the better ported intake of course, but the gains he saw were still significant.....I will let Richard share more of the details with you soon!

Cheers,
Tony

PS....I cant wait to see a pic of the finished product in his car!

Hi Guys,

I’ve recently had the pleasure of working with Tony to get one of his “Mamofied” MSD Intakes and Stealth Fuel Rail Cover setups on my 2006 Z06.
I added an out of the box Nick Williams 102mm TB and had the fine folks at Synergy Motorsports in Livermore, CA do the install and tune.
I picked up the car this morning and just parked it in the garage after a 3 hour drive home. Even without a ton of seat time, all I can say is *WOW*. My super mild mannered, smog cammed Cars & Coffee + Occasional 1/4 Mile romp toy has been given a BIG dose of steroids with 0 hits in the drivability department. To say that I’m stoked is an understatement. Now I can only pray for some good weather to try and improve upon my personal best quarter mile performance of 10.70@130mph.

Subject:
2006 Z06 w/22k Miles
Synergy Motorsports Smog Cam & Head Package (drives 95% like stock)
ARH 1 7/8” Catted Long Tube Headers
Halltech MF103
Mantic 9k Clutch
September 2015 Dyno: 524RWHP, 491RWTorque

Added:
Tony Mamo Ported + Shaved MSD Intake Manifold
Nick Williams 102mm Satin Black Throttle Body
Install & Tune by Synergy Motorsports
January 2016 Dyno: 560RWHP, 529RWTorque (+36RWHP, +37RWTorque)

I can only imagine how much bigger the numbers would be with a more aggressive camshaft than my “designed for stock drivability” smog friendly bumpstick!

My thanks to Tony Mamo and Rick & Ryan from Synergy!

And now for the pictures:

No doubt!

While the power gains are very impressive, the gains in TQ are off the hook....more cam timing would have stretched the power gains even more (by holding the inlet valve open longer naturally and helping the more optimized induction show its stuff)...but the overall results on this mild a package is awesome!

And it really does looks better than OEM under the hood IMO....its a cleaner sharper look with the covers being more parallel after reworking them to fit the new intake. The causal observer wouldn't have a clue this engine was even modded (sans the headers of course!).

Richard....your super clean red Z couldn't showcase this mod any better!

Congrats and enjoy all the new power....did you ever get a chance to really romp on it yet? I know you were "traffic challenged" earlier when you texted me.....LOL

Regards,
Tony

Thanks, Tony! I'm blown away by your workmanship. The OEM look and fit & finish are exactly what I was looking for.

I didn't get a chance to REALLY stretch her legs, but even so I can tell that she has been completely transformed. Seriously. Between the NW102 and your MSD the car feels like it has another 100 cubes of displacement pushing it around.

Tony,

Do you also rework the NW TB, or are those plenty good out of the box?
