Everyone always asks me if it's cammed at events. I suppose it does sound like it with my setup, but MAN I can't wait to actually put a cam in this thing and literally not be able to start it without earplugs in.

I have stock exhaust other then the mufflers being deleted, with a K501 cam and TSP heads. It's a little loud on cold start, but after the system warms up it just sounds like any other aggressive performance system. I get compliments on it everywhere I go. However keep in mind I do not daily drive the car either, it's a weekend toy!

didn't want to make a new thread for something that may have been answered somewhere else but I can't seem to find the answer....do u get decel popping and gurgling with muffler delete?....the car is waay too quiet for me with the fuse pulled and no exhaust shops around me do or have ever done the exhaust mod.

it's not my daily and my neighbors all love the car so I'm not too worried about that....loud exhaust/drone is fine with me, it's like music to my ears.

I pull the damned fuse for one day, and it was like oh hell no!!! way to loud for a DD

If I go aftermarket exhaust it will have the solenoids to make it quiet for grocery runs

Sean_C, My muffler deletes gurgle and pop like crazy. Especially in third gear, when you let off the the gas and keep it in gear, it makes a nice deep pop pop pop gurgle. Sounds awesome when you roll up on next to that mustang

Ooohhh that's exactly what I wanted to hear....I found some new tips im gonna order then I'll be scheduling with the exhaust shop.

What should I do with the vacuum lines?.... Also are the stock mufflers and tips worth selling??

I just had the muffler shop cut off my exhaust and weld in new straight pipes with 3.5 to 4 in exhaust tips. I absolutely love the sound. Wicked and deep.

I think many of the people commenting on this post against a muffler deleter are older gentlemen who don't like noise anymore I love the sound of mine. If it is popping on decel that you want then nothing will give you more than removing the cats. If that is not an option where you live then the muffler delete will do the job for you. These cars sound wicked with open, free flowing exhausts. Especially with a cam.

Whether dB is concern or not; I'll always take a well engineered straight through muffler design over none...like say the Burns race mufflers. I've never thought that any car sounds good with simply removing the mufflers.

i think u hit the nail on the head with ur first sentence....i'm 27 and still enjoy a loud obnoxious exhaust....cats will eventually be gone when I get headers, but im sure the muffler delete should satisfy me for what I'm looking for....i had catless headers and straight pipe on my TBSS and I absolutely loved it.

that's my plan too. It's almost as if people that drive C6Z's dont know that electric cutouts exist. They can be placed and dumped roght after the X-pipe but just before the titanium piece where mild steel is used instead. Just dont run them for long periods of time to avoid heat damage.

Personally, I wouldn't want to run open exhaust like that longer than 5-10 minutes at a time anyways.

I got my mufflers deleted today and replaced with 3" straight pipes to 4" tips.... it sounds SOOO much better!!!.... it sounds mean and angry and pops on decel, everything I wanted.... the car should've came like it from the factory.... it's actually more quiet cruising on the highway then when I had the stock mufflers on with the valves open
