[Z06] brakes squeaking bad at 40k?

You can go to the DIY sticky which tells you how to check/change the brakes. The pads may still be fine.
Street driving only? Then some have gone to duralast ceramics which are low dust, but don't stop quite as well as OEM.
Frequently the squeal is pad glaze. To get rid of it, take the car out on a road where you can do 5 or 6 70-30 hard stops in a row without getting into ABS, then drive with little brake for 10-15 minutes.

Have you serviced your pads also? The pads sit on part of those caliper pins and if they dry out of anti seize lube can cause brake squeal.
Pull out each pin, clean them up and put some sil-glide brake lube on the pins and the threads and put them back in and torque to 30 ft./lbs. That should reduce if not totally eliminate the squeal.
I do mine every couple years and I run centric posi quiet pads since new no brake squeal at all.
