If you are tracking then go for the 2011 Z07 and if only for street cruising I'd save the 10K and get the 2006.

Get what you want. The 06' is slightly lighter, but the 11' will have the bigger oil tank standard, the Z07 PKG is a plus, and a few other revisions. Drive both. I have and I don't think that the TR6060 in the 2011 is any better than the T56. Is that worth 10k to you? You can track the 06' as is on street tires, but if you step up to slicks, that is where the bigger oil tank comes in handy from the G-Loading. I'm assuming both have clean carfax histories?

I would get the Z07 if you can afford it. There is $10k more content there in my opinion... Chances are you will love whichever you choose though...

I'd get the newer car if you can afford it.

I'd get the Z07. Has a lot more options and features that would cost well over 10k to add on to the 06, its basically a ZR1 with a LS7.

2011 has features that cannot be added at a reasonable price point. If both cars are in simular condition, and you like the color of both, definitely go with the 2011.

The Z07 is the better value. Larger oil tank, ZR1 oil cooler, still under warranty?, expensive brakes, far better shocks, TR6060, CF hood...list goes on and on.

Also, far fewer 2010+ C6Zs were built. Maybe the slower volume increased attention to detail at Bowling Green? Just a theory.

Go with the newest you can afford but don't stretch your budget. Make sure you have enough for heads, tires, etc

Z07 FTW.. The brakes alone are worth $8K, not to mention mag shocks, better interior, splitter and spoiler, wheels and tires, highest stock HP, etc.

Don't underestimate a 2006 Z06...it is still a very very capable car. If you're into modding, it may be a better option for you. 2011 with the Z07 option is a great car, but depending on your uses, and what you want to do with the car...You can't go wrong with either one. Any year Z06 is great IMO.

If you are going to use the car for drag racing primarily go with the 2006 and save the 10k.

z07 doesn't mean it has the splitter/spoiler/etc. Two seperate packages. You can have CF brakes and mag ride without any of the aero.

Ok - Not sure I've seen any optioned like that (w/o the aero), but I am sure you are correct.

Go with the newer model plus they only built 282 2011 Z07's...I'm biased.

I'd go Z07...heck I've been thinking after I'm done with my 07 the only car I'd want to upgrade to so far is a c6 Z07

PTM and mag rides cannot be retrofitted without basically buying a Z07 straight up based on my research
