[Z06] C6Z takes down C7Z
#22
The last time mine was on a dyno was shortly after I bought it and did the tune/intake ( 493 whp) maybe 9 yrs ago. If you ask me, it didn't take much to take down the latest, quite easily I might add.

Hoosier 345 A7's on mine and they are the cats *** in all departments in my opinion especially the looks.

What? I thought a full boltons C6 Z06 would actually beat a stock Hellcat unless I'm wrong here.

Let me be clear, then I'm out. I regret saying anything in this thread.
My irritation is when people talk smack about their "modified" car being faster than some other car (doesn't matter what it is), that is completely stock. I think it's pointless from a car verse car / which is faster perspective.
If my point of view is not understood, then i am definitely not going to waste any more effort trying to explain it.

What-what? I don't get your question.

No one is talking about a killer motor C6 Z06 taking out a stock C7 Z06. I believe that just a bolt on C6 Z06 will do the job.

A Honda Civic can be modded to beat a zillion different cars...
Comparing modded to stock is pointless.

I believe that the point is that most believe that it doesn't take much in the way of mods for a C6 Z06 to make up the 145 BHP shortfall they have vs a stock C7 Z06.

Exactly!! Well said my friend... I hope to join the C6Z crowd very soon...
Yeah I saw a video of a cai and tune C6Z beating a C7Z. It was very close but still. It is not like it was heavily modded. Point is, the performance of the 2006 NA platform C6Z is close to the 2015 FI C7Z platform stock for stock. That should not be the case in the minds of most.

I have four friends with C7 Z06's but I haven't had the chance to try one on with my C6 Z06.
Sure would hate to see this happen again to one of my friend's C7 Z06( puked it's A8 transmission at 7,700 miles).
Reflashing the software didn't fix it either.

I have a crammed C6Z, and although there are several C7Z's in the club, I haven't had the chance to tie up with one. I get the impression that they think, they can't be beat. I'm lookin forward to the meeting. I just hope my wife is not in the car..... because she's going to get the ride of her life, while screaming slow down...slow down!

This happened back in december i think it was like a 50-140. The 400lbs weight difference really hurts the new z06. my car makes around 465-470rwhp, and usually down A8 c7z's put down around 515-525rwhp. Well that's according to redline motorsports
