Katech dynoed a Harrop ITB against a Fast 102 on a HCI LS7. The FAST outpowered it everywhere.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...1-package.html

Obviously, an optimized ITB "can" make more power than either the FAST or MSD, and will almost eliminate cam surge, but it seems that out of the box Harrops are not optimized for LS7 power production.

It will be interesting to see how the shorter runner FAST intakes perform on our engines. I'm guessing that X torque will disappear down low in exchange for X horsepower at the red end of the tach.

I'm in a similar bind as the OP. Solid roller LS7, currently have an unported MSD, what to do? I'm just going to send my MSD to Mamo and be done with it. Confident that it's the highest flowing manifold with decent runner length, and made from composite.

Look at that thread. He gained 30+rwhp throughout the power band. The custom shroud/filter setup gained 20+rwhp over just the ITBs.

While not cheap, that looks like a pretty wicked setup for max effort NA fitting under stock hood.

Jim Hall tried the Harrop, and got rid of it because it made less power than the Fast 102.

And the other guy that just did one made huge gains. All depends on the setup. With little filters on it, they don't make gains, with what he did, it made great gains.

Would have to go find the thread, but I think it was an aftermarket intake already as it was a modded car already. Saw 40+rwhp gains but the cost he had into it was $5k+.

Mod the MSD!

o/a 7-8" short runner MSD will do the trick. Fits under the hood for a total stealth look!!
