Default engine builder name bracket

I was replacing heads on 2007 Z, I forgot to install the two black metal brackets on the back left and right of intake. One of which has the engine builders name on it. Am I ok without brackets installed.
I almost have everything put back together and noticed his name plate sitting on the shelf behind some stuff. I can't believe I forgot these brackets.

No, they are certianly NOT useless, dead weight.

They are there to protect the fuel rails in a crash.

If you have the STOCK intake I would put them back on. If you have an MSD, you don't have any choice but to omit them.
