Turbo for 2006 Z06
Hey guys I bought a 2006 Z06. I'm wanting to add HP without modifying the car too much. Is there a bolt on turbo? Super Charger? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg I just want a few more horse without all the mods. I might add Im open for suggestions as far as other options

I don't want to have to spend a boat load of money on things like heads, cam and other components that can really add up. I'm no scientist when it comes to turbos and super chargers this is why Im asking.....

Judging by your posts I'm assuming you'll be paying someone or a shop to do whatever. The cheapest supercharger install will be $8K+, a turbo system $10K+. Spend your money wisely and fix your heads after having them checked and have a good port job done on them. There are shops that'll do a wiggle test to see if your heads are OK. That's going to get you close to $3K right there. Do some research here on the forum, plenty of info.

Depends on how big of cam you want, but I would say a good cam that drives well will get you around 550 at the wheels if you don't care about in town driving get a bigger cam and you might get 580 or so. Maybe some other will tell us what they think.

Heads, cam, stock exhaust with x-pipe and a CAI will net 520 @ RWHP.
Headers will add another 30 or so. Intake like MSD with the above will make around 580 to 590.

Edelbrock E-Force with their canned tune(very conservative and can run on 91 octane) will get you 657 HP at the Flywheel. It will not change your engine's drivability or gas mileage until you get on it.
That's around 580 HP at the rear wheels.
If you ever want to return the car back to stock if you decide to sell it, you can remove the supercharger and sell it. You can't do that with a cam etc.

Heads to keep the motor from dropping a valve. Tune to free up some horsepower. Both of those can be done in that price range.
With a couple of thousand dollar performance budget, I am going to assume you can't easily afford a $14K + replacement motor so resolving the heads would be my #1 priority . You can pick up some power there with porting/polishing and raising the compression, but will still drive well.
Adding a cam really needs a CAI and a header to realize the true performance gains available. Your $500 cam really costs 2k once you add those items.
Forced induction is way out of that price range, and you would still need to do the heads with either a turbo or SC.
I'm not trying to throw a wet blanket over your plans, but since I just went through this myself, I figured I'd chime in with realistic options.
If you had 5k to spend, I'd have different advice, same with 7k.
Find a good shop, if you not going to do the work yourself and give them your goals and budget . If your going to do the work yourself, you need to find a good tuner to maximize the modifications you make to the car. Both of these types of people will be important to your success

Not true if you can work on your own car. Cam swaps are not difficult at all in the LS7...in fact, they are far less labor intensive than a blower swap.
