Which Drag Radials?
Well its time for new tires. Looking at either the Mickey Thompson ET Street SS 325/30/19 or the Nitto NT05R 345/30/19. What do you guys think? Car is a 07 FBO Z06 making 600rwhp. Might possibly add a small 100 shot soon.

I had the MTs, if you search, you'll find my opinion on them. They do not have a "rim protector" which made them appear undersized, in my opinion. They hold straight line acceleration great (~650rwhp) even in first gear. However, are scary when corner carving on back roads or lane changes under acceleration. In fact, my AH sometimes intervenes unnecessarily even in Comp mode.
There is no perfect tire. The type of driving you do matters as much as the power you're putting down. If you're running nitrous, it sounds like you care most about drag racing or roll racing. The MTs are excellent for that.

I just got a used almost new set of ET streets in 345 35 18 for my 08 C6Z which I ll be putting down around 600 rwhp soon after I do my heads and cam setup. I haven't considered juice, but might look into it in the future. I mostly do 1/4 mile and roll racing. So I am hoping these will work out as a track tire. Since I put alot of miles on the car, I have a set of Continental Extremes for daily driving. I ll use the ET's for the track or heavy Friday nights.
I can't comment on the Nitto's other than most people in my area aren't happy with them. Most run ET's or Hoosiers.

Running the NT05R's 345/30/19, 608/526, and it hooks 1st!
Coming from Michelin PSS, the handling is not as crisp. In fact the initial turn in response is soft. Once turned, they settle right down. And ultimate cornering grip is virtually the same. I hit hwy off ramps at almost identical speeds to the PSS.
If you adjust your driving style to be a bit smoother on initial steering input, you almost forget about the softer sidewalls.
I have run these on the highway, roll races, banked turns and infield S turns on Pocono Raceway...tires handled it confidently

Haven't tried a 19 Mt but have done 18 Mt and 19 nitto. I would take the Mt any day over the nitto. About to order my 7th set of Mt tires.

I have Nitto's(345x19) for the few trips I make to the drags. If I buy again.....it will be the M/T.

NT05Rs in 19" worked well for my car until around the 700wtq mark. At that point I was pedaling during second gear roll outs. The MT 19" is a bit too narrow on the factory rear wheel. Even though it says it is a 325, I put a pair on OEM speedlines and they were stretched on the sides.
