I was anxious to spent some time driving my new car, but it was winter and my GM extended warranty was about to expire, so i tore into the motor.

I sent the heads to Advaned Inductions for their 280cc CNC program and new guides. Ferrea hollow ex valves and PSI1515 beehive springs with factory retainers (would like a factory titanium retainer if they become available). Cam is .23x/.24x .657/.660 from Vengeance. Stock intake manifold because i dont feel the extra 20hp is worth $1k.

Doing headers too? Might be a good time for a clutch as well. Slippery slope!

I used Hinson headers and customized my current Borla Hpipe to include two additional Magnaflow mufflers. Also reworked the back half of the exhaust.

After having good success with one of Roshan's tunes in my old C5z, I made the 2.5hr drive back to Powerhaus to get the new car tuned. This is NOT the dyno to use if you want bragging numbers for the internet, it is a very conservative dyno. 493whp.
....(We figure 560-570 or so on a Dynojet)

Car looks good, mine is almost identical having purchased it with a Corsa axle back, I just need to get the heads done and possibly do the cam also.

My car is an 08 so it had the smaller sized oil tank. I modified it to hold another 2+ quarts.

Car is pretty much ready to rip at this point. Stock clutch needs to last me til winter. Ill keep changing the clutch fluid and keep it alive.

Actually the most impressive post / pic in this thread are the beads on those welds for the oil tank.

Yes it lets water in. Even if you dont drive in the rain, its hard not to spray with the hose when you wash it. Racecar problems i guess..
