Default Rusty Delco UPF48R filters from multiple sources

I ordered a case of 6 filters for my car which all came with serious rust on the flange and threads. Figured it was a one off batch stored somewhere moist so I ordered another case from somewhere else (Amazon), which also had rust spots, but less so. I think I got one out of 12 that was usable. Kinda frustrating I'll have to go to the dealer and get a couple and open boxes to find one that doesn't have rust all over it.

Anyone else had this issue with the correct Delco filters for our cars?

I use the Mobil1 M1-113 and the K&N oil filter. Both are premium filters and I have never seen a rusty one.

I've seen rust on oil filters like pictured but never on my Z filters. Always buy from dealer or my AC Delco distributor. Hopefully they replace or refund them.

^^

Can't imagine the C7 parts quality. Try Wix brand.

Looks like that's why you got a good price. I would be getting a refund.
