Default Progress

.060" clearance
Ti bracket
Alt bracket needs minor trimming to fit MMS heads

Just finished another set of mufflers for a customer. 4" tips!
Need to weld a -10 male bung to the pass side VC.

Waiting on on a new clutch slave cylinder. I am digging the black Holley VCs with the Mamo MSD with Stealth Mod.

*Standard height Holley VCs and OEM VCs hit the rockers even with YT 3/8" spacers. If I removed the baffles they would have fit, but I need the functionality of the baffles for the vacuum pump.

Also, will be running Corsa mufflers with the new setup. My 3" Modded dual mode mufflers are nice, just trying something different.

So no Mamofied red FRC's anymore at this point correct? I know you were trying to go for the stealth 454 look...if that's possible.

Mamo FRCs are out. They look nice, I still have them, but I didn't want to run a 3/4" spacer with OEM VCs just to retain the FRCs. They would have pushed the FRCs up and way from the intake anyways and would have opened up the gap between FRC and Mamo MSD.

I also put the car on a diet. And FRCs are 2lbs of decoration that don't make car. go. fast.

I'll probably black out the vacuum pump as well. Not digging the shiny die cast look at all. I always loved the black on black look of black satin vortech kits. Same idea, just going from blow to suck.

What's the matter Col Sanders...chicken??

Smoke'em if you got'em

Awesome work, keep it up. Nice to see the stock mufflers with 4" tips. I have been looking for months for a really cheap stock muffler setup so I could cut the stock mufflers out and weld straight pipes and 4" tips on. Havent found a cheap enough set though.

Default Dyno Date March 13th

Needed to install and mod the coil relocator to make room for the alt.

Came out better than I expected.
Tony's heads have raised the bar. No more oil pressure sensor for the brake booster hose to snag on.
Update:
Completed wiring for the flex fuel sensor, and oil pressure sensor relocation. Also welded the -10 bung to the Holley valve covers and painted them wrinkle black. Painted the GZ vacuum pump epoxy black.

Need to install the LG ram air intake shroud then radiator. Replace a driveshaft bearing. Then I'll be able to bolt the Monster LT1S clutch and Flywheel onto the engine and mate it to the torque tube.

Dyno appointment with VR is March 13th. The tune guru, Mike recommends E85 for street use and C16 for racing. So that is what I'll be bringing with me.

I source the Ti bolts from RaceTi in the U.K. They're simply the best. Like a fine crafted CNC part, except it's a bolt.

I have saved over 7500 grams from the car, about 15 lbs from just replacing steel bolts with Ti.

I already sold my converted mufflers. The ones in the picture were a customer's set from the forum.

Looking good man! Can't wait to see what it puts down. Hope to see you race again in Ocala. Where did you steal power for the flex fuel sensor?

I thought you already had e85. Curious to see what your old setup would have put down on e85.

I probably missed it, what is your compression ratio?

13.8 SCR
62cc chamber
.040 gasket, 4.190"
4.185x4.125 Bore stroke
five thousandths out of the hole.

I am running E85 as my primary fuel. Mike recommended C16 for the Texas Mile. I saluted sharply and bought 10 gallons of the blue gas as he ordered. I will get dyno results for both fuels.

He is going to write me a couple tunes that I can swap between with my EFILive AutoCal.

I stole power from the drivers side ignition coil wires (on the main harness side of the ignition coil connection), soldered them by hand, no chinsy wire taps. So now the flex fuel pigtail is part of the main harness, conduit, black friction tape, looks OEM.

I'll be running the Texas Mile here soon. Engine break in......WOT down a texas runway. Repeat 12-20 times as necessary.

Josh what is the silver tube in the back of the passenger side valve cover some kind of breather?

It could be considered a breather I guess. It's an adjustable vacuum regulator to ensure the vacuum pump doesn't exceed 15 inches. According to GZ, excessive vacuum will cause wrist pin oiling issues. Not sure if my piston squirters would help wrist pin lubrication.
