My installer had the vette on the street today working on tune said it runs nicely. These are his exact words "Its a knarley motor." He was having a issue with the idle at first but got that figured out. Hope to have dyno numbers very very soon.

He has the car on the rollers right now as I type this. He is up to 582 rwhp 505 rwtq on a mustang dyno through a 6l80e. He said he would guess that to be around 650rwhp range on a dyno jet with a manual. Im actually pretty happy with results. I wanted 590 rwhp. may have to add a electric water pump down the road.

Already have that. I'm done moding this car for now. I'm not disappointed at all with numbers. I may switch to American racing headers too with the electric water pump looks like I have the dip at 3500 rpms that the kooks were experiencing over the American racing headers. That my get me in the 595 range. Either way my tuner said high 500s is no joke on his dyno.
Just had a cz5 last week in there with a 440 ls7 big cam and manual put down 540 rwhp on e85 12.2 cr. So that some what of a comparison.

He just messaged me this.
"I just realized we built a ZL1 for a guy. E85/ ported blower, smaller pulley, 15# of boost, full kooks exhaust and he makes the same power. That's pretty awesome"
"Not to mention this motor will start to make more power as it breaks in more.
My circle track engines always make more power after they have half a season on them than they do when brand new"

Serious power. Congrats!

here is the graph if you notice the dip at 3500 I believe that is to do with the kooks headers. next year I'm going to swap in the arh and see if it changes. Either way you toss the dice I pretty much still have a 600 rwhp car on a dyno jet and a auto which is impressive. I know most of the guys post dynojet numbers on this forum but I'm on a mustang dyno.

That up above.....that says it all (and the fact a 440 CID, big cammed 12+ to 1 E85 six speed Vette made 40 RWHP less!).
Dynos are tuning tools....some read high....some read low....most read somewhere in between. Mustangs are notorious for heartbreaking dyno numbers and it looks like this dyno is no exception based on the two other builds commented on.
To be honest, flirting with 600 RWHP in a stalled 6L80 auto (turbo 400 style losses) on a DynoJet would be an accomplishment IMO.....and most would agree. Nailing close to that on a more conservative Mustang dyno makes that accomplishment even sweeter!
Clint I have no doubt if you had a standard C6Z driveline and a reasonably light clutch you would be between 650 and 675 on a typical DynoJet or a dyno that read like one. Your driveline is down 40+ from an efficient M6 set-up and this dyno is probably 20-30 light at a minimum looking at the other combos he discussed and what you would normally expect to see them run.
I know this car is going to be a blast to drive now and Im excited to get your input next week. I am also looking forward to tweaking the combo a bit more next year and see what we can nickel and dime this combo to with some more refinement in the tune, some valve lash tricks, and a better header system.
Guys note this cam isn't huge....it looks bigger on paper in a solid roller because you have to account for the valve lash. It's the equivalent of a 245/259 in an HR with a touch more lift....It will actually drive pretty nice and the reason it came on so strong early was the engine wasn't overcammed.....it has a really fat usable power band and this car should fly with only a 7000 - 7200 shiftpoint so it will live forever.
This power and torque curve should really work great with the stalled auto!
Looking forward to some in car vids perhaps at the dragstrip? This car should go 9's in the worst heat of the summer
Clint....have fun and congrats....it was a pleasure dealing with you.....looking forward to some updates about how it drives and how she does at the dragstrip!
Regards,
Tony

Here are a few messages from my tuner/installer. If he is impressed then I know it has to be fast. He owns a 950 rwhp C6 Grandsport I find it funny he wants to convert to auto after getting in mine and driving around. I am picking her up tomorrow if it don't rain here.

Just got the vette home all I can say is INSANE. With the extra power and 4k stall I give this thing quarter throttle and the power is just instant. I could floor my last set up and not be worried at all but I'm not going to lie this is down right scary. Well worth the money. Thanks tony for a killer set up!

To me no it did not get annoying but I can put up with alot. I like driving with open cutouts too if that tells you something lol. But honestly the only time it got annoying is when I was going up the viaduct (a bridge over the railroad tracks) it seemed like the rpm hung up there till I got over it. In all reality the c5 was well worth this is my 3rd modded vette and by far the quickest.
