I just picked up my '13 ZO6 and it still has the original Michelin runflats. Worst tire ever made! Thinking about a set of the Continentals for just normal driving. I don't want runflats, I carry my plugs and compressor. Any input?

I'm running a set of the D/W on my C5, replacing some Nitto NT05s. They don't have quite as much cornering grip as the Nittos, but still do pretty well. Sidewalls on the Conti's are a little softer, ride is better but handling isn't as crisp (still just fine). Even when new, the Nittos were complete sh*t in the rain, and I'd never buy another set. I'd say the Conti's are pretty workable and reasonably priced, last I checked.
Had a set of Michelin PSS on an M3... maybe 99% of the Nitto's dry grip, and so far superior in every other category that they'd easily be my first choice... but they were out of stock in the sizes I needed.
My $.02: PSS>DW... but more $$.
I have been loving my Continental DW for over year now. I do not have a Z06 but just a little ole Z51 base car with a few modifications. I would not have any issues with purchasing another set of four and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a inexpensive well rounded set of performance tires. Just to give you some back ground on my experience with Corvette tires I've owned Michelin Pilot Sport cups, Bridgestone R-11, Nitto (forget which model), Goodyear runflats and lastly Kumo Venza not sure if I have the spelling.

The DW's are a very well reviewed and well liked tire. Had them on my 5.0 in 285/40/18's on all 4 corners. Pretty good grip and quiet and fairly comfortable, and in my experiences very good in the rain. Some people don't like the softer sidewalls though, that's probably the only complaint you hear.
Now I have MPSS 285/40/19 and 255/40/19 on my 5.0 and they are my favorite tire so far. Similar to the DW's but better grip, and I like the way the look much better too. But, yeah, they are expensive, ESPECIALLY in Z06 sizes!
Tire rack has very nice prices on dw. Came out to just a bit over 600...shipped for c6 base. Could not resist the good price. Finishing up runflats and putting dw next season.
I had conti dw on my 03z and didn't like soft sidewall so took back and went to mich ss and was much happier and still am, been on there since feb this year.
I've been running with the DWs for a while now. Handle fairly well. Never been able to get them quite aligned right. There's some steering effect coming off one of them but not enough to really bug me and I dont have time to hunt down the problem. They've held up tread really well. I've put them through some spirited canyon driving and I still have a lot of mileage left. Not much traction coming out of the back anymore though even though there is plenty of tread. They spin extra easy. Also if they have 335's on 18 inch rims I would go up in size. The 275 fronts look right but the rear 325s get sucked in. The tread width is definitely not as wide as the Eagle F1 325s. Easily 1/2-3/4 inch narrower. Since they get sucked in, it also lowers the rear ever so slightly.

LMMFAO...Michelin makes the best performance tire.....Your New Conti's are for a daily driver or if you want to save some money...Only thing between you and road is the tires...jmho..But I would never go cheap on tires

Did I miss something? When did Michelin ps2 zps become crap? The original Goodyear EMT were crap yes, the nitto invo are a step up. Back when I upgraded to 19/20 cup wheels, I thought the only choices were the ps2 zps or nitto invo again. Are the Continental supposed to be better?

I still have the 2011 version of PS2's on my street wheels - they are an EXCELLENT tire, and this is coming from a former run-flat hater.
They grip very well, and even stood up to some track laps - I can't kill these things.
With my 19 / 20 inch combo, choices are severely limited - the replacement street tire will be the MPSS whatever-the-current-version-is. Certainly a better choice over the Conti's, if price is not the primary driver.

I had both on my C5Z. I considered them again when I was buying tires a month ago for my C6Z, but opted for the PSS this time around because I wanted the most traction I can get out of a street tire.
