Fair deal IMO. If you like the car, and the owner has documents/receipts of all the work done; I say grab it before it goes...because it will go. GL!

I'm going to try and push for 37k but regardless it's a good deal. Clean car fax with service records. I'm currently waiting on him to send me paperwork of the head work.

Lots of things to check when buying a modified Zo6.
1-- validate who and when the work was done.
2--Factory Heads--no mention of valve guide work? were they milled?
3--Cammed car---what springs?, what length pushrods? I would even go so far as checking the rocker arm wipe pattern.
4--Ported heads--was intake ported too?
What air intake is on car? If other than OEM.
And one of the most important : Who tuned the car and can you have that checked? is it a locked tune ---etc etc.
One question I would really ask----why a ZR1 clutch in such a low mileage car? Has it been launched hard multiple times?
Hope that helps. Really beautiful looking Zo6--just have to do your due diligence before buying. I am sure the owner is a stand up guy and doesn't mind someone totally checking it out

Thank you for feedback. So far this is what he's told me, head work and tune were done by antivenom in Tampa Florida. I'm waiting to see documents verifying this.

I will ask him all of the above as well. The corvette platform is new to me. My last car was an 06 Evo ix.

I think that is a fair price. I also have an 07Z with 32k miles and want that....I don't have those mods, all stock, with zr1 ground effects. Adding those mods would be $4-5k for me at least. Sure looks cherry in the picture.

IF its the right color you want. Drive it and see if you can handle that cam.

You will hear torque tube noise, and a noisy valve train and ticking sounds not normal on any other car your used to. But step on the gas and they come alive.

Run a NMVTIS report which will have info not on Carfax. But most of these cars are damned garage queens that need a good beating

If it's what you want then make the buy, seems like a fair price for this time of year. IMO C6 Z06s are plateauing on price, so you might see a little addl depreciation, but then it will level off. thumbs:
