Monster Triple Disc feedback wanted
Hey guys looking to replace my ZR1 twin disc clutch. I have researched to death different clutches for my application and finally drilled down to the Monster triple Organic disc clutch. I have a fairly aggressive N/A setup that I street drive, drag race and road course from time to time, very multipurpose car. Ex.) drag raced it on Friday with drag radials and then took it out to dinner Saturday with my wife!! Any experienced feedback much appreciated.
1) Any chatter or noise at idle?
2) any chatter when slowly releasing from a stop light, street manners?
3) pedal feel?
4) Easy to slip?
5) Drag strip manners can it take alot of heat without issue when making pass after pass?
6) any high RPM shift release issues?
7) Any negatives???
Thanks
Tim

Monster triple or twin? Steve from Monster recommended the triple for my application. Its a really good deal for us, since we already have the ZR1 slave cylinder in which the triple requires.

I have the Lt1-s Triple disc in my h/c/i car and love it. Best clutch ive ever had. Drives like stocks, holds power, and slips pretty easily. Would buy it without hesitation again for sure

Sounds like you have already searched here? There was one guy who did a write-up before, after and a follow-up. It gripped but had some problem during engagement after install that never went away after break-in. It sounded like he was just going to live with it and didn't complain.

Mantic triple, or even mantic dual and be done. Dual drives like a dream. Only reason I'm going to a triple is it won't hold 1200+. Holds 1100 just fine, bump up the power and it slips, turn it down and drives great again.

I'm running the LT1-S triple in my H/C/I + N2O C6Z and it's doing pretty well so far. I've already ran my car a few times at the drag strip with it and got a 9 second pass with a 1.49 60'. Street manners are great, clutch pedal feels nice and I don't notice any chatter. It can take a lot of heat and doesn't cause any problems when shifting at high RPMs. I recommend it.

No problem and yes I'm still using my stock GM master cylinder and a C6 ZR1 slave cylinder. The ZR1 slave cylinder (which is shorter) comes in the kit and is needed for proper throwout bearing clearance due to the stack height of this triple disk unit.

Thanks. The 9.71 pass was with a 100 shot. Still more dialing in to be done while using spray. The SC has ceramic disks and I put too much heat/ wear and tear on it. It started to slip so I upgraded.

I hope this clutch works for ya but it's so new I think the jury is still out on how well it's going to hold up at the track don't ya think? If it ends up working for you though it should work for most haha.

It's about to be tested even more on 11/18. I have confidence this clutch will do well.

I was having issues that day and didn't get to make a clean pass. 9.91 @142 MPH with a crappy 1.52 60' was my best pass. The clutch was doing its job. Then later on I snapped my drivers side axle. So yea, the clutch was grabbing! Lol
