Default 2011 Z06 midpipe

The 2011 Z06 mid pipe has a part number (15869375) that is only used for this year. It costs twice as much as the prior years and 15% more than the 2012-2013 with the added catalytic converter. Will the 2006-2010 mid pipe (25790450) dimensionally fit the 2011 Z06? Any explanation for the really high price?

It's an X pipe. The earlier years are H pipes.

The 2011 Z06 mid pipe was the only year with an "X" pipe without cats. 2012 plus years had cats with the mid "X" pipe. Prior to 2011 years had the mid "H" pipe. Not sure about the ZR1's.

With that said, I have 2009 Z06 exhaust manifolds, Z06 cats and Z06 mid "H" pipe with 2011 Z06 mufflers with no fitment issues on a manual 08 LS3.

So, yes they will fit.

Having said that though, there's no reason to pay that high of a price for an OE X-Pipe. Plenty of aftermarket ones out there (Corsa, B&B, etc.). Or you can buy a universal Magnaflow "X" for like $40-50, and convert the older H-pipe to an X-pipe if you can wed or have a local muffler shop do it. A few on here have gone that route.

Yes the early pipes will fit.
GM has odd pricing structures on their parts. Sometimes their pricing leaves you scratching your head.
