How sure are you that you plugged in the oil pressure sensor?
if that's plugged in, it's possible you did tear the oring. The oil pump edges are really sharp. I was really worried but I took it slow. Mine hard pressure as soon as I fired it up.
I used the gas pedal to the floor method of priming the oil system.

Didnt seem any more noisy than normal, but then again, its 2" ARH headers straight back to Borla ataks so it may be hard to hear. I was also very liberal with soaking lifters in oil overnight before installing and use of assembly lube everywhere. Hmmm

What an awesome Z..... Could you PM me the exact specs of the "rear" Dark Stars please? also, what size tires? Thanks.

rears are 92-795253 DSD
Rears you need to run a spacer to clear z06 brakes. I heard that there was a new model available with an offset to clear the brakes without a spacer but I am not sure. Rear tires are 315/35R17 Hoosier DR2s and front tires are 185/45R17 M&H racemasters

There was no reason to unplug it as far as I remember (sender right behind the intake manifold right?), so I dont see why it would be unplugged.

Never been so happy to see a sensor unplugged in my life:
Glad I pulled the manifold to check before i took more drastic measures. Plugged it in, put everything back together, fired her up and she had almost 70PSI via the digital gauge before the needles finished their sweep. Good to know that it had oil pressure the whole time. We got ourselves a runnahhhhhh.
Exhaust sounds insane. Not sure if it is the borla atak I swapped out, or a combination of that and the additional compression and the 2" ARH primarys. Significantly louder than before with the corsas and 1 7/8". Let it run for 3-4 minutes to burn the **** off the headers. Tomorrow I will fire it up again and finish filling the coolant and let it fully get up to temp.

Burning Brakes
Sounds awesome man. Nice and loud. I gave you your first thumbs up on YouTube lol. What is the smoke coming from the engine? Is that just burn off from the headers? Did you go with catted or catless headers? Are you still running 3" piping all the way back or did you go bigger than that?

Glad to see it was just the plug on the sensor. I know I pulled it out to get the harness out of the way. Which is why I assumed you had as well.
Car sounds mean!

Any idea what the PN on those wheels was? I wish I had known about them before I ordered mine with the spacer. Oh well, spacer isnt a huge deal.

Gotta love it... Let us know how she runs when you get a chance to stretch her legs out.

Two fluid questions:
1. Oil: I put in 8 quarts of fresh oil, but it still shows low on the dipstick. Do I need to add a little more to account for the oil cooler etc that were empty that wouldnt normally be empty during an oil change?
2. How much coolant should I expect to put in? Let it get up to 198F coolant temp today and by that time I had put in just over 2 gallons 50/50 mix of dex-cool and distilled water. Might need to top it off one more time. Is this normal?

RE oil, you only get an accurate measurement with the oil temp at 175*, the 5-10 minutes after shutdown. I've never checked mine with cold oil < 120* but know going from 175* at middle hole it goes to top hole at 240*. It appears you got the water up to open the thermostat, but that could still leave the oil cold.
If you put in 8 quarts, you are fine to do normal break-in driving until you get the oil up to 175* and check it properly. I know the air/oilcooler Zs take a long time to warm the oil. On my HCIE build I went with the IOC DeWitts so I would not spend so much time with low oil temp.
