If it's just a money thing, pay the fine and forget it. A lawyer will drain your wallet faster than a judge.

Help us here, exactly what's the nature of citation?
5-10 over? 20/25+? Reckless driving?
Sure would help for making an informed judgement regarding whether it makes $ sense to fight or pay if what's at stake's known.

Exactly. If it's just a 10-15 over ticket, and no priors, nearly any traffic attorneys could handle that with their eyes closed. I'm guessing you live in a state that assesses points? That is the reason for hiring an attorney - they can reduce the ticket to a non moving violation without resulting in points against your driving record (in many cases).

Open any Yellow Pages, whole page ads hawking traffic lawyers specializing in moving violations like OWI/excessive speed etc.
Spend a C-note for a consult w/ one, learn what's up.
Then, come here for input on choices.
