Default is this worth getting fixed?

crack on the bottom front fender....I know the fenders are expensive to replace, and then at that I don't want to have an eye sore with "mismatched" paint where it obviously looks like it's been replaced.

its not super noticeable being that it's at the very bottom of the car, but it does bug ME a little cuz I know it's there....the car isn't a show car, it's got its fair share of chips and nicks around it even for a 20k mile car (AZ roads suck) but I was just wondering if it's worth it or not.

it can be repaired, but repair it before it gets worse and can't be repaired.

Every "is it worth it" question all depends on your financials and needs. Get some quotes. Probably $300-800 to fix that, and if that is worth it to you, only you can answer that.

If you're concerned about paint match, they can blend color up 10-12 inches into the factory color and re-clear the whole fender. You won't have to worry about the hood, front bumper or from beltline up matching.

Elite Autobody. Done great work and priced well. Call CPR and ask them, they do all the body work/paint for CPR.

A lot of vette owners use classic gold, but they were 3-4x more than any other body shop I ever got quotes from.

I couldn't live with that...it would have to get fixed right by a competent shop.

yea as sad as it is to say, I've actually lost some sleep over it....I'm gonna take it and get an estimate by the end of this coming week....it's gonna dip into my mod money I've been saving up but I know I'll be happier once it's fixed....I should get the little chips filled in also while I'm at it

It really should not Cost you an arm and leg. Like others said, maybe $300. I had a jack slip and crush my rocker panel. Cost $200. Its in a place where matching paint should not be an issue.

Repair it The cost of the complete repair will be about a third of the cost of a new carbon fender in the box. Then it has to be painted and installed.
Pretty much the same process at repairing fiberglass.

Yes, it is worth it.

It needs to be pulled and repaired correctly from the back as the original CF fenders are unubtanium right now.

Even if you don't mess with the paint, get the structure in order.

yeah, just have a shop fix it and just paint just that area, it won't stick out as much as the old days, they are getting pretty good at blending it in nowadays, besides it will stick out much less than it is to you now.

either that or pay a much larger amount to redo the whole thing

It is a carbon fiber fender so make sure the shop understands that when they are quoting the price. CF takes a little more care to patch than SMC does. It can be tough finding new fenders for these cars.
