C6Z with ZR1 splitter/side skirts/spoiler opinion
Hello everyone!
I have a couple questions regarding my C6Z and adding ZR1 style aero. So my car is 100% stock to the best of my knowledge and I'm wanting to know from your experience, how will these items affect the C6Z's handling, acceleration, top speed, etc. I'm not an avid track goer but I do very much enjoy driving my car with enthusiasm.
As a side note, I'm not trying to create some replica zr1 haha but the replicas zr1 pieces were the best looking I saw and were fairly subtle and blended in well with the cars.

I added a ZR1 splitter and skirts as well as an extended ZR1 spoiler. I was shocked at the difference in high speed stability. The car is so much more planted feeling at speed then it was before. My car was 100% stock when I added the aero. Easily worth the time and cost. I wouldn't want to go back to stock now, that's for sure.
As for acceleration and top speed ....... Don't believe it effects acceleration, but I imagine the added downforce lowers your actual max top speed. My max speed on track is higher though, due to increased confidence in the cars handling.
Street difference? Can't say there is any. Looks much better imho is a side benefit.
Hope that helps.

I don't have those options so that's not very relevant to me. And what's the reason for the reinforcement?

I'd install it any time a front splitter is used, whether it is for street use or track use, but that's just my opinion. I like doing things correctly.

The reinforcement supports the front bumper. Like Too-Fast says, it keeps it from deforming when at higher speeds.

i have an 07 Z06 and debating adding the zr1 splitter and skirts. I'm not a skilled hands on person and don't trust myself to install those. I impressed myself installing my D style steering wheel myself. What would you say is a reasonable price for a place to install? Thanks

Exactly the answer I was looking for as I am looking for more downforce in turns on track and wasn't sure whether these pieces were worth the $.
Of course, for looks, it is worth every dime...

Their aero aids were developed in the wind tunnel(like GM's).

I am looking at these because the bottom will possibly scrape on my driveway and dont want to spend the money on carbon. I want the color/finish of the C6 Z06 splitter but not sure how to confirm if these are the same.

I went with a custom front end diffuser my mechanic built for me and a C7 z06 rear spoiler. It's a 3 in one piece. The side winglets and middle come off for a low profile look or you can leave all 3 pieces.
