Default 1-7/8" vs 2" Headers

Trying to figure out what size I should go with. I've seen a lot of recommendations for 2", but not a lot of data to back it up. Tried searching, but could not find very much info.

What's the rest of your build look like, and what's the hesitation on going with 2"?

Mainly wondering if the performance gain justifies the cost. In the used market, you can find a set of 1-7/8 headers and x pipe for around $1200 or less sometimes. 2" are rare and when you do find them, they are barely less than retail.

In that case, no. Save the money and spend it elsewhere if you're getting a substantial discount on some used 1 7/8" LT's.

I just picked up a set of 2" Kooks w/ catless x-pipe for slightly more than the price you quoted above. Give Maryland Speed a call

I scored a set of ARH 2" headers and X pipe ceramic coated used here for $1150 shipped. Sold my 1 7/8" Pfadt for the same price. Not sure how much of a difference it will make but for a net cost of $0 i wanted to try it.

For sure. I was ready to buy new. And you gotta act quick. I would not do it unless the cost difference was pretty marginal.
