Yeah, not sure how your LS2 post found it's way into the Z06 forum..
That said, if you check around, I am the resident YT fanboi around here, been using them since 2004, so yes, I am very familiar with the setup.
That said x2, for your LS2 application, you may have no issues. I was posting in reference to an LS7 install.

Melting Slicks
I had a set and the rockers were rubbing on the pedestal and the rocker cover. .625 lift on an LS7..........LME discovered the rubbing on the pedestals when LMR sent them the heads to be done. They did the required machine work on them and no more rub. So after I did that one of the rollers on a rocker went bad. Had a not too easy time getting YT to cover it. Later decided that I should just switch to CHE rockers and problem is solved.
As to the original question, the pushrod side of the rocker is very close to the heads but mine had clearance

Look, bottom line - for LS7 installations, with the supplied YT thicker gaskets, the clearance is marginal, to the point that depending on where they are on the head when you tighten the cover bolts, they can and will hit the cover. This is not debatable, it is fact. I finally grew tired of the "perfect placement" dance and bought some 1/2" spacers - bam, problem solved.
Anyway, no offense intended towards you.
