Just curious if this thread should even be in C7 for sale section? There is no physical Corvette here being offered for sale. As of now the Corvette doesnt exist. No proof dealer even has allocation for Corvette being offered. Thought only "owners" could list cars for sale on the forum?' This would be more appropriate in C7 General. Just my opinion.

Would you walk up to a stranger and say that to his face? Typical keyboard tough guys who apparently weren't raised properly.

And yes I may not have a rep on this board (maybe because I have never owned a vette before) but I am not asking anyone to wire me funds or anything that sounds remotely like a scam. I have thousands of posts on other automotive forums and have no problem proving my legitimacy to someone who is actually interested.

I won't resort to your level of name calling so I will just end with thanks for checking out my thread and have a nice day.
If you don't want to be called a douche then don't act like one

So, do you have proof(in writing) that each of a couple of thousand Chevrolet dealers that will be selling 2015 C7 Corvettes, have 20-80 deposits on hand? I doubt it.

Man, you guy are A**h***s!!

Pay the money for the spot, or pay the mark up at the dealer. As long as you get it in writing from the dealer, who freaking cares. Paying "Premium" mark up for cars has been going on for 50+ years.. Its nothing new.

Talk about a bunch of whining middle aged old men..

but...but...but...you can buy one at a dealer without necessarily paying a markup. There are guys that are reporting on this very forum that they are paying MSRP for their 2015 Z06's.

Uh, no...just pointing out that trying to hammer fellow forum members for $15k for a vehicle that is selling at most dealers for MSRP is being a douchebag.

But perhaps someone like you is dumb enough to pay it?

Everyone, please remember, this is what is known as "Free Enterprise". If you can make it work, make it work. If not, it wasn't as good an idea as you thought. The end resultwill tell.

It kills me that someone would actually pay $15k for a "maybe" to have a chance for the opportunity to purchase a car. First world problems for sure. That $15K is gone, wasted on a car no less.... Unbelievable! It's actually disgusting to even think one would even think about this. If you actually give this person the 15K for the spot to purchase a $80K car, so the total cost plus tax is over $100K... for a Corvette... I feel sorry for you, sleep well.
