Fellow friends......dealers are now offering new 2015 C7's for 8-10% off MSRP. MacMulkin Chevrolet has 10% off, zero dealer prep fees and zero taxes.

Those of you who are trying to sell your 2014 models really need to wake up a bit if you really ever plan on selling! While it is too bad you paid full price (or more), dealer prep fees and 8% tax, this doesn't concern current used model buyers.

I laugh when I see many of the for sale ads for used 2014 models here on the forum. "I paid $6,400.00 in taxes and dealer prep fees so while I was dumb enough to pay full price also, I want you to buy my used C7 for full MSRP." You have got to be kidding!!!!

And no, I am not in the market for a 2014 so please don't be concerned that I am trying to manipulate the used car market!

Yes, but more importantly the OP adds absolutely nothing to this section of the forum.

If you check the other generation sections you will find that there are "experts" in each section badmouthing the prices that forum members are trying to sell their cars for.

As my Father always said, things are only worth what people are willing to pay for them.

I'm not sure what your point is.

People ask for $$$$.
Somebody offers them $$.
They agree on $$$.

It applies to everything, including nicely equipped 2014 Corvettes.

Well put.. swat that negativity out the air... And I have not seen any sellers on the forums complain about taxes they paid on their car so I don't know what he is talking about. Different rates for every state. Taxes are life and just something that we are numb to..

They might not have dealer fees, BUT you aren't getting out of taxes anywhere bud.

There is always a bid/ask spread and over time that drags on values. I agree a little with the OP about the incentives that the dealers are giving. I bought my Subaru BRZ (pre-ordered) and had to pay $500 over MSRP to get it. At that point there were 2 equipped in my spec on a ship to the US. Sucks but over time all that premium absorbs.

Give it another 3-6 months and I think there will be a move on prices downward. The other difficult pill to swallow is the options on the C7. A lot of trims and packages that take the price of the car pretty high (not a vette expert but seems unprecedented).

Just see how many C7's are selling for the original price people list them for in the For Sale section. That's all that needs to be said!

Hey Rob,

How 'bout this... people ask whatever they want for their C7 and you get over it.

...and no, my C7 won't be for sale for 3+ years and I got an 8.3% discount way back in March.

I'm ashamed that I have a fellow AZ forum member starting s#)t like this.

RedC7AZ:

You are ashamed of "a fellow AZ forum member ....? Wow! Not sure exactly why you decided to make it personal towards me. I am pretty sure I didn't direct any of my comments towards any one person as you have decided to do to me.

It must be a terrible burden for you that someone might hold a belief that doesn't coincide with yours. I suppose you could either be tolerant and understanding, speak with me privately via PM or ridicule me on a public forum as you have obviously chosen to.

I've heard it says a lot about the character of a person as to which they choose . . . . .

Lamborghini Gallardo, 6 speed manual, Yellow
Acura NSX, 6 speed manual, Red
2005 Chevrolet C6, White
Hummer H3, Silver, lifted w/ 35's (my daily driver)
Ford Expedition, Silver, w/22's (my wife loves her kid limo!)

...said the guy who basically ridiculed a bunch of C7 sellers on a public forum because he had a different belief than them.

Don't bother replying as I am done. Goin' out to the garage to play with one of my toys!

A seller can ask whatever they please for their cars.

If it doesn't sell then they will get the hint.

I know you said you're not in the market but I think you are. Why do I say that? If you are not in the market why are you in the C7 Corvettes FOR SALE Section? Wasting your precious time clicking on ads?
