Default C7 for export

Hi, A question for all you Corvette dealers out there. I am a Corvette nut living in New Zealand, I own a 1960 C1 and I am keen to purchase a New C7 probably a Z06 as this vehicle is NOT available in New Zealand my only option it to buy in the US and ship it myself. Are there any dealers that have experience of this type of sale that can help me out. I will be in the US in August this year visiting in Palm Beach Florida and also a couple of days in Los Angeles (our flights go from LAX). Any help advice would be appreciated the C1 is lonely and needs a stable-mate. Thanks Tony

Selling for export is not allowed. Dont even bring it up, dealers wont sell it to u if they know ull export it. Just buy one, have them register it (will have to pay sales tax) and then do what u want.

Thanks for the reply Kotik, much appreciated. I know nothing about purchase or registration in the US, can a non-resident make such a purchase without a residential address ? Any help would be appreciated.

Some countries put A heavy tax on the car.Being the Corvette is A popular car maybe I put it on eBay and someone from China buys it from me $10,000 more than what I paid for it new.

Hi,
I went through all the hoops and brought a 2009 Z51 in 2012, did 4000 miles in SW USA then shipped it back to Auckland. Happy to talk about what/how I did it. Was in a warehouse in NZ recently and among the Ferraris, Lambos, Jags et al were 2 x brand new C7's, 2 x top spec new Mustangs. Non-exportable of course. 0212409439
Cheers...

Hey. I just bought 2015 ZO6 ZO7 from Corvette World Dallas. They do have what I want. What I did is I just paid them and they did all the paper work and ship the car to Saudi Arabia. Try to reach them they are online.

Contact DC Motor Cars in Irvine, California

they have a 2015 red z06 for sale but only to export. Its not available for sale within the united states due to it being a GM driving school model. Apparently GM prohibits the dealer from selling the car to anyone within the states. It has to be sold internationally ONLY. I hope that helps!
